For every 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 you see on the table, count a +1.
For every 7, 8 and 9, count nothing (0).
For every ten, face card or ace, count -1.
If you have a high count late in the shoe (+9 for example), that means a lot of the good cards (faxes and aces) are coming, so up your bet.
I read a book on this method when I was in high school. My only problem is, that when there is a high count, that means the dealer also has a better chance of getting a good hand, like face-face. Nevertheless, that was the system I learned...
