when you bet baseball...listing pitchers means your bet is only good with listed pitchers. action means if there's a pitching change, your bet still stands but it will get adjusted to the price of new pitchers. thats how it's always been with books i played at.

If if that's the case there would be no such thing as listed vs action .

Just because it's a parlay should not change that fact.

Yeah there could still be a difference. If you bet listed pitchers your bet is canceled, if you bet action, you get the game on the number you got, even if the pitchers don't start.

The way I look at it, is if you bet action on an NBA game and Lebron James doesn't start they don't adjust the line you got, so why in baseball. To me action should just mean you're betting on the game at the line you got.

So if you bet a dog at +259 against someone like David Price and Price gets hurt in warms ups and they insert a plug right before the gAme to take his place you think the odds should still be +259?

Yeah if I bet it before the change in the line happens. If you bet an NFL game at -3 on wednesday and it moves to -8 on sunday should the book be able to change the odds you got?

Next thing you know they will just adjust all bets to closing numbers so really don't matter what line or price you got it at :ohno:

Great point. We are all betting based on the information we have at the time.

Not everyone caps based on pitching.

That's they do horse betting. If that day comes with sports I'll stop betting.

What happens if you bet a big dog against the Packers and Aaron Rogers gets hurt before the game starts?

The reason is because it's BASEBALL, and unlike NBA, NFL, NCAAFB, NCAABB who have Game SPREADS .... Baseball is a ML wager, unless of course you play the RL
at that point the Runline can Only be wagered with LISTED Pitchers ( thus if the pitcher is hurt before the game Starts ) the wager is Canceled.

That should really say, the STARTERS MUST Start the game

Post 22 is right obviously. The difference to me besides it always being this way is that a pitcher has way more influence on the game. More so than any other position in any sport. Look at the other side if you bet against a shitty pitcher and all of a sudden say Kershaw ends up pitching. If they kept your bet you would be pissed.
