The lack of weapons will likely drop Newton a few more rounds. Yes, he can get some running touchdowns, but the Panthers won't be taking many chances on offense with their terrific defense. We really can't consider Cam a top-10 QB at this time.

I'm still stewing I talked myself out of drafting this guy when he lost his top WR. He will come in as a top 3 fantasy QB with Luck and Rodgers. Will be the first qb off the board in a lot of leagues. I 100% expect him to underperform.

But then again, I drafted Matt Ryan over him this year so what do I know

The chance a black running ghetto qb performs great in back-to-back years is small. Could happen but not with my money. That is like betting Carolina will go 15-1 next year. Not gonna happen.

Are you talking about 2014 season? I'm sure fantasy players loved him when he put up 5 td's agains the saints, gaints, and redskins.

It's been a couple years since I really followed fantasy but I don't think he will outperform Rodgers, Luck... 320 probably finishes in top 10 if I remember so yeah he will be in top 10 but I also think injury risk is high. Fantasy aside, it will be downhill from here for him. He will not be the "franchise qb" people think he will be for the next 10 years. Carolina will be wanting to get rid of him within 3 seasons.

In his greatest season ever and his walk off MVP performance, the guy didn't even throw for 4,000 yards yet 12 other qb's did and that is not counting Peyton or Luck who definitely would if they didn't sit out half the year.

Hard to ignore 45 total TDs and over 600 yards rushing.

He doesn't throw for 4k yards cause he doesn't have to. They have a great running game and rush more than any other team. Plus they are usually ahead. Plus he has no WRs.

When he has to throw he has a cannon and his accuracy has definitely improved.

Let's put it this way; swap Luck and Cam and Cam throws for 4k easily with those WRs, bad defense, and that playcalling.
