As the RX's MLB contest starts today, May 20th, in this contest area here, for many reasons, I'm not able to participate in the season-long contest like I did last year. I am not a capper for the most part as veteran posters would remember me with my MM (money management) system. I have played around with many types of martingaling systems and I really hope I don't have to explain that I am fully aware of how martingaling systems doesn't work in general. Nonetheless, I continue to work with my particular MM system and fine-tuning as always.
That said, I wanted to track myself for the rest of the MLB season & here I am. I can't use Tracker forum because I have a very weird plan in my head in where most of my bets will be between 0.8 units and 3 units, but can be as tiny as 0.2 units up to 10 units (although seeing me making any bets over 5 units would happen very few times). This MM system is directly based on guidance & explanations from my old tracking thread from Fall 2007 here.
I often will tail some RX cappers, or agree to some leans or comments that I see, so my plays sometimes would mirror what I see on RX. Still, as people may recall, I rely on my spreadsheet to tell me what amount (or in this case, units) to wager for next play I like.
For the first day, my plays would be all the same units as I begin my MM system.
NOTE: If I use Matchbook, I always include commission cost; i.e. if someone uses $100 as one unit; to win 0.80 units means to win $80 but the person should "wager to win $80.81" $80.81 - $0.81 for 1% commission = $80.00 won
Here are some of my plays so far for Tuesday, May 20th (I always do "to win" wagers; also, I always use listed pitchers):
CWS +111 (Matchbook); to win 0.80 units
Sea +150 (Matchbook); to win 0.80 units
I have several more pending plays to be matched; I'll only post the actual price I get in the morning.
Cheers,
