Have never been and thinking about a summer trip.

Where is the best place to stay ?

I suppose I want to be in the thick of things within walking distance to everything.

Money isnt really an issue.

Appreciate any input

I have stayed in the Park Hyatt and Trump recently both high end hotels and Park Hyatt for location as well as service is the best....How long will you be in for and what month? Will you have a car? If you do rent a car rent it from the hotel for the day, parking in the city at teh hotel will run you between 50-65 a night, you can get a room in some cities for that...

Soooo many options. What do you want to do and see??? I stay 30+ nights a year in Chitown.

Love The Peninsula, Trump, Public, Langham, The W chain, Four Seasons.
Thompson in the Gold Coast is recently remodeled and a nice place.

pizza recomendation above is quite solid. for a great meal, try gibson's. just realize
that in chicago the average portion size is bigger than you would expect.

If you're looking for a place to have a few beers before or after a Cubs game check out Goose Island Wrigleyville, just a half block south of the stadium on Clark.
