I call SHRINK and say, "Hi Ken, this is Pete"

Ken says "Hello General"

I get that with a lot of posters around the net I have talked too.

You guys use poster names the most when communicating?

I think that is standard operating procedure... plus you come to know someone on a certain name, so that's what you use. My friend Fezzik... well when we talk or hang out, I call him Fezzik.

Trivia question: anyone know where the name Fezzik comes from?

Lots of people call me David Matthews... even though it's not my name... ( a combination of my first and middle names).

General: Someone who posts on my blackjack website posts as "General Pershing" ... anyone know why? (another trivia question)

Anyway, I think going by handles is a mark of respect, actually... you've earned your reputation under a certain name, so that's what peers use as a sign of respect.

David

David,
You mean you're not that grubby middle-aged singer?

Damn - I was just about to tell you that your last 58 songs that sounded completely identical were all "equally" good
