Think before you toke: California regulators find marijuana smoke causes cancer

Marijuana smoke has joined tobacco smoke and hundreds of other chemicals on a list of substances California regulators say cause cancer. The ruling Friday by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment likely will force pot shops with 10 or more employees to post warnings.
Final guidelines are expected by the time warning requirements take effect in a year.
The listing only applies to marijuana smoke, not the plant itself.
Spokesman Sam Delson says the state agency found marijuana smoke contains 33 of the same harmful chemicals as tobacco smoke.
Delson says the findings came from a review of more than 30 scientific papers.
California's Proposition 65 requires businesses to warn consumers of chemicals that cause cancer or reproductive harm.

I've been saying for years on here that pot causes cancer,
and the dope-heads in here scoffed - believing the
ruse that somehow inhaling pot smoke into ones
lungs is somehow good for you.

The question is not if it is a carcinogen, the question is how much do you need to smoke to raise your risk to any statistically significant degree

There are plenty of people smoking 20 tobacco cigarettes each day, how many people are smoking 20 marijuana cigarettes every day? And a few guys in here raising there hand that they do, is still only a few out of a few billion. . .

First of all, since when did California regulators become the final word on medical issues?
Second, one need not smoke Cannabis. Vaporizers are very nice and more efficient as well. Cannabis can also be cooked into foods or infused into drinks. Finally, it has been shown that THC, the active ingredient in cannabis, can be used to shrink tumors.

Your comment about injesting marijuana through vaporizors or
foods seems like a better alternative.

Can and do are different words.
Inhalation of smoke of any kind will cause problems.
Ingestion has not been tested.

Eating celery is different from smoking it.

Stupid assumption that the substance rather then the delivery system causes cancer.

Nobody has ever died of a marijuana overdose.
Seems rather non-toxic to me.

Could, might, maybe, possible....etc

There is to date no one who has died of a cancer that could be attributed to the use of marijuana in any form.

But hey, if posting "warnings" in the sales area will help facilitate the expansion of legal distribution outlets for marijuana to adult Americans, let 'em post a giant, YOU CAN DIE!!!! poster on the wall and let's get on with it.

It is physically impossible for a human being to consume a lethal dose of marijuana.

California residents living in any of the major population centers are at far more risk breathing outside air for an hour than they are from smoking a dozen doobies a day for life

Really? How many brownies can you eat?????

Really!!
You can eat enough brownies to die of a sugar/calorie overdose.
Considering the countless people that have died fron alcohol overdoses(legal) and NOBODY has ever died of a pot O.D.

There's really no competitor for The Volcano, which sells retail for about $550

It's a product that will literally last a lifetime.

Other products purporting to be "vaporizers" are either shabby comparisons or outright frauds with regard to what they do to cannabis.
