The Cup is going back where it belongs - the great country of Canada.
Calagary has the best player, better fans, a superior country & most importantly a fan base with a median age under 67 (no offense Ken).

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Ken,
Church is nothing but a facade for Satan.

How else can you explain the plether of "Holy Wars" and alter boy fondlings?

Railbird, sounds like a schooled alter boy.

lander- Tampa Bay will bitch slap Calgary. This is a five game series. The only area where these teams are even close to equal is in the goaltending department. The Lightning are superior in every other facet of the game. The Lightning got even stronger with the return of Jason Cullimore.

Calgary likes to take dumb penalties and Tampa Bay will light them up on the power play. The Flames have had a nice run and deserve to be here but they will get tatooed by the Lightning. Tampa Bay in five.

If Primeau can torch the Bolts then imagine what the league's best player, Jerome, will do.

He'll probably average 2 pts a game.

I would have agreed with soccerbob at the beginning of the playoffs, but I can't write off Calgary so easily. Here's why:

1) they knocked off 3 of the best teams in the league - and took only 6 games to beat both the Wings and Sharks, nothing about Tampa suggests that they're objectively superior to Detroit, Vancouver, or San Jose.
2) they have incredible goaltending
3) they have Jarome Iginla, who has surpassed Peter Forsberg to become the most dominant forward in the game
4) Tampa hasn't come up against a team that works as hard or plays at as fast a pace as the Flames

This will be a great series and both these teams have completely surprised me and deserve to be here. I love the Bolts since they knocked off the Flyers, but I am rooting for the Flames in this one . . .

Am I the only one who think -240 (Cris) for the series is way off? Does anyone give Calgary any respect? This is a very live dog in my opinion.

I don't disagree with anyone who argues that Calgary could win this series. However, there is clearly something special going on here in Tampa. To quote Ken Hitchcock, " they are playing a style of hockey not seen since the 80's." The days of that boring ass trap are gone. From the goal out and with the exception of Iginala, Tampa is either equal or better.

The more pressing issue though is the broken agreement we have with Canada. We allow Canada to keep a few teams in the NHL as a reward for raising our players. It is truly the best minor league country in the world. We give you this under the same conditions that we allow you to remain a country: DON'T IRRITATE US TOO MUCH. Please do not force us to remove those remaining teams, many of our players have families still in Canada and it would make things uncomfortable for them. Enjoy the series and we will see you next winter.

If insults make you feel better about America's inferiority at the world's greatest sport (hockey) then so be it.

Don't worry, Sather can always by half of the Flames roster and turn them into a dog crap team like he's done every other year

Thank you for proving my assertion. As everyone can clearly see, the Canadian educational system is vastly superior to that of the Americans. All Canadians are taught that the proper contraction for "you are" is "you're", not "your" as Kidslick would have you believe.

Lander, have you seen Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11 yet?

TB in 6, Iginla and 1st line or bust for Calgary..Kippi runs hot & cold..bad home record..great penalty killer & lead holder, but need leads to make strength work.

Not yet Horse - I have reservations about supporting Moore, but I might watch it if I can find a way to pirate it

What I did see though was a 2002 benchmark on the state of national education levels across 26 of the world's most prominent countries.

Not surprisingly, Canada and France once again kicked the ever-living crap out of America.

Then why does the world send us their kids to educate in college, why were my GA's all foreigners?

Lander, the US has it so good, that welfare and other abundances have left us with many bottom-feeders and slackers that drag down the core numbers.

But I will agree that the US Math & Science numbers get lapped far too wide by others.
