Cal Ripken JR. on Regis and Kelly

he was promoting "baseball the cal ripken way"

he hit grounders to kelly and regis and they took turns hitting a tee ball, they replayed the swings in slow motion.

he seems like a geniunely nice guy. he looks just like he did when he hit that HR in his last all star game.

Kelly Ripa is UGLY. I know I am in the minority on this, but I don't see it at all. Not only do I find her unattractive,, I find her ugly.

Actually worked on a soap with her.When she came down in the morning for block through,nothing special.When she came back later for dress rehearsal,with make up on,amazing.like 2 different women.

Cal`s mom walks around my neighborhood walkin her dog as if she is any ordinary lady, the Ripken family is as wholesome as Cal`s image...

Kelly Rippa, loks totally different without makeup...she is very average without...nice bod though!

Cal is not as clean as his image. He had several girlfriends on the road, one in Cleveland and one in Chicago. Taht a boy! They also had to cancel a game at Camden Yards several years ago saying there was a power outage. That was BS. I was in a bar across the street and we had plenty of power. They cancelled the game as Cal was in jail and his streak would have ended. He walked in on his wife nailing another guy and beat the crap out of his wife and the guy. Also, Kelly Ripken is a bitch. She got pissed when the O's signed Palmeiro the first time as the Palmeiros had a bigger house than the Ripkens. And anyone that has driven by Cal's house knows it's pretty impressive itself.

I say jacks gets post of the day honors. he delivered the dirt on a famous athlete in a very concise manner and all that other stuff. it was cool i liked it.

How many times have you been to the Yards? Do you honestly believe they lost power. I was at Pickles and couldn't believe it when I heard the game was called. It was also called by about 7:15. How many times, including last night, do they start games late because of rain. My wife actually worked for Aramark in Camden Yards during that game. She worked in an office on the club level. She had power in her office. I then found out a few days later when my friend, who is also a poster here, worked for the Md State Police and saw the police report. Cal paid the guy, who was the dog groomer for the Ripkens, a nice sum to drop any charges. I also am friends with a guy that worked security for many of the ex-Orioles(Rhodes and Mussina were his main clients). He also confirmed the Cal in jail thing as well as stating Cal had a girlfriend in Cleveland and Chicago. The guy is now in NY with Mussina. It is amazing that it stayed out of the national news but as you know, Cal was considered the milk drinking baseball savior and how bad of a PR hit to baseball would that have been. Who would have gained anything from making this public?

Let me also add that Cal is a very nice guy. My wife's job with the O's was to handle the billing for the club suites. Cal had and still has his own suite and has never been anything but nice when talking to her. Kelly Ripken on the other hand walks around the place like she owns the joint. She actually had her credit card bounce one night for a $400 tab. My wife had to call MBNA and explain it was Cal Ripken's card. They did an override as it obviously wss a mistake. For those that don't know, Cal's stadium is funded mostly by MBNA and he is their biggest endorser.

I have heard this rumor acually (about Cal beating his wife) I never was able to get any concrete proof, I was living in Ocean City that summer so I was out of the loop so to speak....

Its still is amazing this story (if true) didn`t hit every media outlet in the country, I blew it off as a joke, the part about the game being cancelled I never heard any of this...I can`t even recall the game in question...

MBNA is all over the Ripken Stadium,lol, thats very funny....Cal`s wife doesn`t seem to be anything special , he should have got a prenup....

Next time I see Mrs. Ripken walking her dog I`ll ask her what happened lol <kidding>...

I actually live in Philly now but lived in Fells Point at the time. I get down to some games but thank god for the MLB package. The game itself was against the Mariners. It was a beautiful night for baseball and the beers were tasting good. I thought people were BS'ing me when I heard the game was cancelled. It is hard to imagine how much money came out of Cal's pocket to help cover this up. I agree as I don't think Cal's wife is good looking at all. She always sat in the first row behind home plate but was somewhat absent for a month after this incident. Imagine that. I also heard the rest of the O's wives couldn't stand Kelly Ripken as she thought she was better than them. They all sit together about 20 rows back and watch each others kids, etc., while Ripken sat in the first row or in her suite.
I'm actually heading down for the game today to watch those first place Orioles. Good luck Journeyman!!!
