Yesterday the title of my thread had a cocky headline and the gambling gods punished me with a 1-3 record -2 units exactly. I could have even gone 0-4 if Hanley Ramirez didn't help get an insurance run to beat the Nationals 4-2 when I had the Marlins RL at exactly +100. I had wanted to add the SF Giants with Line cum too but I didn't but oh well, I'll try and win my money today...
Today
Pirates +119
Blue Jays +109
Cards RL +105
Mets -130
D-Backs -138
Pirates: I think the pitching matchup is pretty even, the Chubs are cold, I am chasing yesterday's loss, the Chubs aren't that good on the road, the Pirates have a home record better than you'd think... The price seems pretty good on what seems almost like a coin flip.
Jays: Another team I am chasing. The Jays/Rays have similar records except Tampa is below .500 on the road, and the Jays are better at home. I think Richmond will give them a chance, Matt Garza is a good ball, and I'm chasing this one too in a game that should be close to 50/50 the price is right.
STL RL: I have Randy Johnson on my fantasy team and he's great to spot start at home against crappy NL West offenses, but I think Carpenter gets it done today. The Giants don't score runs on the road and Chris Carpenter won't make it any easier. Randy isn't the HOF-er we know, he can be highly productive but I think STL has a better than 50% chance of winning this game by 2 or more tonight.
Mets -130: Santana hasn't been Santana but he is dominant and I am chasing the Mets again. Santana -130 seems like a good price.
Arizona: The only D-Backs pitchers I'd back would be Haren and Max S ( who I faded and won against last start). Haren is my fantasy ace and I think he beats that girly haired B. Arroyo tonight.
I never liked Arizona's hitting but I guess they aren't THAT bad and the team has won some games on the road... They don't get dramattically worse on the road and they have one of the best pitchers in baseball on the hill tonight.
MIGHT further add in the later games
KC/Minny UNDER
Texas/Angels UNDER ( althought they have one of the best OVER umps in the game calling that one....)
