Here are some of the stats/thoughts
Brewers/Cards OVER
Brewers are 7-2 on overs following a win
Ryan Braun is a career 6/8 batting .750 vs Wellenmeyer
STL has a team .288 batting average at home
Todays ump is 5-2 on overs this year, 8-6 last year
Cle/TB OVER
Everything points to this game going under, today's ump is an "under ump", The Rays hit righties better, the Indians hit lefties better...
but
Cleveland is 14-5 on road overs
TB is 10-5 on home overs
Cleveland is tossing out a freaking virgin rookie
TB is tossing out dog shit, let's just hope the umps don't help out the trash.
I like BOTH teams hitting, I think BOTH teams are better than their records indicate, and despite the under ump and both teams going against the grain, the pitcher are just too vulnerable to ignore.
Boston/Seattle OVER
Boston is 9-3 vs lefties for a 75% winning pct
Boston is 11-6 on road overs
Seattle is 8-7 on home overs
I don't like either teams pitchers
Baltimore/KC OVER
OVER ump is 9-5 this year on overs
41-35 since 2005
Baltimore is 10-4 on road overs
Baltimore is a home team, but has a SP with a 36.00 ERA
I think both teams pitchers are NOT good, I know that baltimore can hit, I think KC will on average hit better at home, and they have a favorable ump today. GO OVER.
Philly
- Chan Ho Park has been doing better ever since he started getting more ahead of hitters 2-3 games ago, I think at this point he's underrated.
- The Phils have owned the nationals and will sweep them out tonight.
- I like the price, I think the Nats starter is overrated here, and Park is underrated. Maybe people are betting on washington to not get swept, but I like the price too.
Boston
Facing a virgin rookie pitcher
Boston bashes left handed pitching
Better hitting, better pitching... but they are on the road, I'll take em
Angels
Weaver is the better starter
The Angels hit .290 vs righties, and .291 on the road vs righties
Rivalry, Angels lost the first 2 of the series
Chone Figgins back
I wish they didn't get Lackey thrown out yesterday... bad blood, I'm pissed.
I don't usually fade Texas, but I think people are catching on to this team and this hitting. Kinsler is an absolute fucking stud, and this game could have it's scoring but I like the Angels to at least win one here.
