I love the fact I'm seeing everyone on Flo today. Penny better than Ponson?

Bottom line is that SF is 37-15 in game 2 of a series. 25-9 after a win. And overall 58-24 at home.

While Ponson was 0-3 last 3 starts and 3-7 overall with SF, two of those last 3 were games that SF sat starters after clinching. In those games, his ERA was 3.71

SF is 7-2 vs Flo last 3 years and 21-7 since 92 @Home.

While a case can be made for Penny, keep in mind he is 1-7 in day starts with a 6.52 ERA and opponents are hitting .351. Team W-L is 1-9. Ponson not much better during day 1-4, ERA 4.02 and a .299 average against. Team is 1-5. Penny has never beaten SF.

That all being said- I give a slight edge to Ponson and will take the overwhelming home/series dominated advantage with SF.

I agree with your Ponson thinking - he really has been a victim of pitching in front of the AAA guys, not the regulars. His bullpen has hurt him as well (see montreal sunday game).
