Must not have read my post. Not once did I challenge the Skins tradition. You closed your eyes and read my thread assuming me being a homer. I actually said they have some of the best history in the league but they don't compare to the Bears. Which is true.

Also Briggs doesn't fit the Skins system, and Jermaine Dye has already been quoted as saying he will take less to stay in Chicago...

Anpy the only problem I have with your comparison is that I am making 70k at one job and 350k at another. That is like Briggs getting offered 5 million by the Bears and 25 million by another. If I was writing for a local paper and my family loved the area, and I was making 80k a year, and a national paper called needing me to move for 100k a year I would most likely turn down the pay raise for similar reasons.

Another reason it doesn't work is that there is a major difference between making 80k a year and 5 million. If I want to live a luxury style of life I can't do it on 80k a year really, w/o a second income. But I could still live a luxury lifestyle easily on 4 million a year and put a million away for the next 5 years. That money would add up over the years and would be easily livable on even in a luxury style, especially on top of the NFL pension which is very high now to bad it wasn't back in the day.

You are a blatant homer. Want me to pull all of those annoying fucking Bears threads I had to filter through last year to find the real info threads ?

The funniest part of this whole thread is that themanej2001 wrote this thing as if Lance Briggs is going to read it.

You also know nothing about the Redskins and their tradition.

And career suicide? Tell Marcus Washington that, who's blossomed into one of the best LBs in the game in Washington. Stupid. Oh, and Antonio Pierce did the same here, before getting paid somewhere else. Stupid.

It'd be a bad trade for the Redskins, seeing as how they already signed London Fletcher and have Rocky McIntosh still sitting on the bench. But Briggs is great. They just don't need him.

Don't get me started on the problems with how Washington runs its operation. But don't bash its tradition when you know nothing about it.

And the homerism in that 1st post is sickening. Not that I'm surprised.

Here's to hoping that the Bears become the Red Sox of the NFL.
Honestly he wrote this as if Briggs was reading it and going to feel sorry.

Oh I am sorry I didn't write it as if I was writing it for the forum. Some things you guys pick out are incredible. It even ends in I can only hope. And I never once addressed him as "you".
