and that is to bet RA to place and show...about 30% of the win pool 20 mtp is on RA but only 12-18% or so in the place and show pools...for chrissakes she is set to pay more to place and show than Pioneer of the Nile. However this turns out, this is where the value is in this race.

are you retarded?

then you'll lose money...what the F do you think? it's hard to make the case that she's more likely than not to miss the board, and yet she's looking at paying $3.80-$4.20 right now, and I think the odds are much higher than 50% that she'll hit the board. As I said, it is a value play.

got a little bump of $$ in the pools late, but $3.60 to show is more than fair for what seemed to me to be a 70-80% proposition.

yeah...she got hit a tad bit more late in the place pools but if you figure based on the times she'd run and so forth that the place/show likelihoods were in the range of 60% and 80% then fair value would have been $3.60 to place and $2.60 to show...clearly to anyone that bets horses regularly, $4.60 and $3.60 represented some value, and would have been the case even if she'd lost. Everyone recognizes that even an 80% shot loses 1 out of 5 times.

If Musket Man ran 2nd she would of paid $5.00

Flying Private runs 2nd she pays just as much as she did to win.
