Buying golf clubs in CR?

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy golf clubs in San Jose? Thanks in advance.

Don't. Wait till you go to the States and buy them in Miami. There are a bunch of places near the airport that will sell you good clubs at less than half the price of CR.

Actually you can buy them on line and have them shipped.Also valley de sol,will sell you used sets.

Fair comment about the used sets.

However, if you get a new set shipped to CR you will have to pay taxes - which as we all know are HUGE!!!

unless you buy them from someone on here and they ship it to you as a gift and not purchased from a store? would that help you avoid taxes?

And thats also if you re looking for used, you might want new.

Still have to pay tax on gifts sadly. Unless someone knows a way round it, I would still suggest either picking up a set next time you go to the states and then bringing them back as part of your normal luggage (no tax), or ask someone to bringthem in for you as part of their normal luggage (no tax).

Sorry guys, but that system BLOWS. I'm just wondering who the Costa Rican government is going to steal from once they've scared all the foreign money away their little socialist fantasyland.
