I am sure many of you have read this, but just in case here it is again:

Disclaimer: I am sure Kerry has a questionable resume as well, and I for one will not be voting for him nor Bush, so calling me a liberal, or kerry supporter becasue I acknowledge that Bush is a bad president, and a man of very questionable intellect, is just wrong, and thus a weak retort

Even the most ardent (provided they have nay objectivity) Republican has to acknowledge, that while many of these points are a little shaky, Bush certainly has not run a smooth, effective or flawless presidency. In fact, I know many a conservative that admit that he has balked at a lot of his promises, and has been less than forthright with the American public. Furthermore, the Budge alone is enough to make true conservatives outraged at Bush.

Its not like he was even properly elected.

With hindsight, the US population kinda got what it deserved.

The lack of real concern over the Florida vote rigging scam and then that seriously dodgy wheeling and dealing that got Georgie boy into the Whitehouse...

There should have been a re-election as soon as the first process stalled.

But in that post-clinton era we were all going to live forever, everything was peachy and no-one could arse it up.

Its a funny old world.

Phadreus,

I concur. Nonetheless, it is still quite an impressive list of ineptitude.

Well, it would be, except that it is inaccurate ...

Again, my dislike for Bush is well-known to anyone who has ever had the poor sense to ask my opinion of the man, but facts are facts, and the famous "Bush's resume" contains much information that is either outrigh untrue, taken out of context, or otherwise manipulated. This is the very thing of which Bush and his administration are accused of doing on a number of issues (energy policy, terrorism, Iraq, etc.)

Valid point. I suppose the credibility of this is shit.

I can admit when I am wrong.

However, I would be willing to bet, that one could make a less thourough (and less exxagerated, fabricated), but still damning resume for president Bush.

However, some things that may seem negative for some, are positive for others. Like that article (you linked it) from the liberterian science fiction guy (weird combo /but interesting) points out: Bush did invade two countries...some feel it is a bad thing (me, and you if i recall, others feel it was a noble thing (hansen, patriot et al)

So I guess it all depends.

Hey Phadreus... a few months back we talked about vonnegut. You mentioned that Jailbird had a quote that would lead you to your future wife. (I am paraphrasing, and may be off a bit)

I just got done reading a bunch of his novels (slaugterhouse 5, cats cradel, breakfast of champons, mother night, galapagos, jailbird, sirens of titan, god bless you mrs rosewater)

My curiosity is killing me...what was the quote? Was it from the preface? (love may fail...but courtesy will provail)

Hehehehehehe. Wouldn't do for me to post it here, that's for certain. But for the record -- no, that's not it.

in light of what happened to the economy after 9-11, and the recovery since then, i think he has done well with the economic side of things.
