A lot of them involve multiple thought tracks being overlaid.
Love thy neighbour..
Treat others as you would like yourself to be treated..

"Whether they be Christian, Jew, or Muslim, or Hindu, people have heard the universal call to love a neighbor just like they'd like to be called themselves"

Other stuff is like his brain simply hasn't developed.

"See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction."

Here's a few more:

"I know how hard it is to put food on your families". Jan 27, 2000

"The Califronia crunch really is the result of not enough power-generating plants and then not enough power to power the power-generating plants" - to the NY Times on Jan. 14, 2001

"The trial lawyers are very politically powerful...But here in Texas we took them on and got some good medical - medical malpractice." - In Waco, Texas Aug. 13, 2002

"I'm the commander - see, I don't need to explain - I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being the president. Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don't feel like I owe anybody an explanation" - to Bob Woodward in the book Bush at War.

and my favorite:

"There's an old saying in Tennesse...fool me once, shame, shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again".

Quote from one of the ones Mudbone listed:

"I'm the commander - see, I don't need to explain - I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president. Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don't feel like I owe anybody an explanation"

If I had to guess who would have concocted that line I would have guessed someone like Adolph Hitler.....that it come from Bush really doesn't surprise me....

Does anyone else get the impression that the Bush backers vote for him simply because they can relate with his stupidity?

Another real pisser:

"I'm hopeful. I know there is a lot of ambition in Washington, obviously. But I hope the ambitious realize that they are more likely to succeed with success as opposed to failure."
—Interview with the Associated Press, Jan. 18, 2001

another quickie:
"Natural gas is hemispheric. I like to call it hemispheric in nature because it is a product that we can find in our neighborhoods."
—Austin, Texas, Dec. 20, 2000

Bush is so stupid he figured out how to fly a fighter jet, graduated from Yale and Harvard. Then somehow Bush became the 46th Governor of Texas. To top it off Bush became the 43rd President of the United States, keep on underestimating him.

Flying - Although mediocre, at best, Bush leap-frogged to the top of the National Guard list solely on the reasons of political connections. He nearly fuked that up though, as he has most everything else.

(3) http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/factfile/aircraft/air-s3b.html to 'steer' it, was he licensed to fly?

When 1st Lt. George W. Bush was in the military he had a MOS [Military Occupation Specialty] of 1125D indicating he was a Squadron Level, Fighter Interceptor, Pilot - eligible to pilot a F-102 type aircraft. On August 1, 1972 1st Lt. Bush was verbally suspended from flying. This verbal order was followed up with a written suspension on November 19, 1972 (4) http://users.cis.net/coldfeet/grounded.gif that includes the following excerpt:

"6. Verbal orders of the Comdr on 1 Aug 72 suspending 1st LT. GEORGE W. BUSH [service number blocked] ANGUS (Not on EAD), TX ANG, Hq 147 Ftr Gp, Ellington AFB, Houston TX, from flying status are confirmed, exigencies of the service having been such as to preclude the publication of competent written orders in advance. Reason for Suspension: Failure to accomplish annual medical examination. Off will comply with para 2-10, AFM 35-13. Authority: Para 2-29 m, AFM 35-13."

Nine months later, on May 2, 1973, William D. Harris, Jr. Lt. Colonel FG, 111th FIS TexANG (ADC) reported the following.(5) http://users.cis.net/coldfeet/doc9.gif "Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of report. A civilian occupation made it necessary for him to move to Montgomery, Alabama. He cleared this base on 15 May 1972 and has been performing equivalent training in a non flying status with the 187 Tax Recon Gp, Dannelly ANG Base, Alabama."

Four months later, on 5 Sep 73, George W. Bush, lst Lt, wrote a memo to: 111th Ftr Intec Sq/CC requesting a discharge from the Texas Air National Guard. Lt. Bush requested reassignment to ARPC (NARS) effective October 1973 as he would be moving to Boston, MA to attend Harvard Business School. Bush's request was approved by Jerry B. Killian, Lt Col, Tex ANG, Commander on September 6, 1973 (6) http://www.usatoday.com/news/bushdocs/2-Discharge.pdf [page 5 of 7]

Yale - again, (I see a trend) political connections buy Bush's way into Yale, and (again) he achieves mediocracy. Keep in mind, that he didn't have to work to help finance his way through school like most students, so this failure becomes even more impressive.

And, heck, even reich-winged

Fox has this stoy ...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,25229,00.html
"To the C students, I say, 'You too can be president of the United States,"' Bush said at the 300th commencement of Yale University.

With his wife, Laura, in the front row and hundreds of graduating students booing and holding small protest signs behind her, Bush accepted an honorary doctor of laws from the university that first gave him a history degree in 1968.

...

The president acknowledged that he was known here for so-so grades and a lively social life. "If you're like me, you won't remember everything you did here. That can be a good thing. But there will be some people and some moments you will never forget," Bush told students.

Last I've heard, Bush still refuses to let Yale release his grades. His family must be so proud of all of his "achievements."

Harvard - Despite Bush's poor grades at Harvard he was still accepted via -- you guessed it -- political connections.

Texas governor Karl Rove could have put ANYONE with a name there. Yet again, political connections.
