Fish how do you hzave your worst day with basically 3 games.

I saw above and yes thas a tough tough tough day but you must have had some Philly Money line scalped against that hug Dallas money line wager for profit at another shop right?

you have days with 200,000 in action considering scalps, middles, leans, early moves.... today seems bad but I cant imagine you dont run into a dozen of these bastard days a year...... And bad beats happen all the time in Poker...

hang in there, no reason for attack mode, stick to your value plays and scalps and early leans and get back on track!!!

Days are few and far between where I lose close to $10,000............or even $5,000 for that matter.

Very much a MIDSIZE ROLLER.......at tops.

-FH-

Biggest loss ever........close to $30,000 on a video poker play with tremendous +EV..........which makes today more relaxing just thinking back on that horrible debacle.

my worst day of the year yesterday. Lost close to 10% of my bankroll. Made wrong decisions on some tough games but overall not mad as my bets were good bets with good numbers and I keep telling myself that is all I can do. I have lost close to 5k in 10 days or so and have went from almost 13k up to 8k up for december but still my best month of the year. VARIANCE:realtongu

sorry about ur results on xmas day. i know you'll come back; not even worried abt you.

i have a castaways story from way back.

years ago i was doing a "sugarbear" style of gaming; doin the footwork in vegas. it was xmas day & the strip was virtually empty. got down on a big middle in a bowl game that boomer easiason was the qb at maryland, the game might have been in hawaii. anyways, the game fell smack dab in the middle. great xmas. got down btwn the castaways and either santa anita or austins.

I bet that same game JOE!

The year was 1982........The ALOHA BOWL.

Final score....

WASHINGTON 21
MARYLAND 20

I was only 22 years old at the time and had wagered a huge chunk of my college loan money on the game(1100 to win 1000) on WASHINGTON at PICK.

It is one of the most memorable games that I have ever wagered in my lifetime.

When making the wager, thought to myself who is MARYLAND to be a PK against a powerhouse like the HUSKIES(little did I know how good this Maryland QB named BOOMER truly was). :)

Washington trailed in this game 20-14 with under 3 minutes remaining and the HUSKIES drove no less than 75 yards converting NO LESS than three 4th down conversions and scored a TD with under 8 seconds to play.............and the PAT gave me the cover!!

Will never forget that game, a true classic, and not to mention a bigtime sweat!!

used to hang somewhat around that time at the castaways. was a big drinker back then. during baseball season, i'd cross all the daygames off of my sked, start looking for nrs around 230pm, make my last stop the castaways around 500pm, start drinking my summer desert drink, tequila and grapefruit & watch & bet the late games at the castaways. i was kind of antisocial and didn't interact much w/the sportsbook staff, although i did know adam rizner. i was a 1 to 2 dollar better back then.

got to know steve a little bit when he worked at the trop, but i was more interested in the other ticket writer, delores. i thought she was so fine.

i knew neil & his mom dottie. last i heard, neil was in the slammer, and that is pretty sad. when his folks died, u just knew he was gonna be a lost soul.

again, sorry bout ur xmas luck. but u know better than anyone, if u bet enof xmas action over the years, one xmas is gonna come along where u just can't get a winner. it'll come back to you, ur the last person i'm worried about.

Thats really kewl JOE.

I have a copy of the book also................have never seen the beltbuckles.............thats awesome.

I have a few Castaways SPORTSBOOK ONLY chips.........$500 and $1000 denominations that I took a handful of on the closing evening of the casino. They sell for anywhere between $60-150 on ebay.

If you recall the CASHIER sign by the cashier section of the sportsbook.........a sign of approximently 12 x 24 size, have that too.
