The so-called Fast-Food Breakfast War is not limited to the U.S. In Japan, fast-food giants are pulling out all the stops, and this new addition to the BK breakfast menu has certainly caught our attention.
Rocketnews reports BK Japan introduced a Spam burger. The centerpiece of the Spam & Cheese is, of course, the slab of pork in a can, which is topped with the usual burger accoutrements: pickles, mayo, lettuce, and cheese all nestled in a whole-wheat bun.
This is not BK Japan's first Spammed up menu item. In 2011, the burger chain offered Spam sliders marketed for women. According to the Huffington Post, the slogan was, "What women want, what women get." It appears that this Spam & Cheese promotion if for everyone.
