You nailed it. Ghosting is when you have multiple profiles / names. Ghosts tend to commonly pop up to accomplish the following things:
(a) to look like a staunch supporter / loyal follower
(b) to defend yourself (via proxy)
(c) to bash another poster (without having to identify yourself)
(d) for various other bizarro reasons and purposes
I don't think it is the worst crime in the world, but it sure is embarrassing when you get caught. Kind of like accidently leaving the house without your pants on. Not the worst thing in the world, but definitely a public humilation.

It take a while to find the "new jewels" sometimes as most tend to stick with who they know. Best thing is to post your record in the daily thread title so people start to take notice without having to go through everyones posts like I do if I have time. I know that gets my attention. There have been at least half dozen with really good starts and no one pays them much attention and then they do the same (just vanish). Moneyline Monster comes to mind but there have been several more that I wish would come back. One of the reasons I started posting this year was to help show some appreciation as I've seen this happen alot in the 3 years I've been hanging around. Hang in there!!!
