For Example:

SI's Joe Heyman says the White Sox have asked the Yankees about Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy as part of a Mark Buehrle trade.

Basically three of the Yankees' top prospects/untouchables.

Chicago is in the driver seat for negotiations (which they should be)...and will likely get a big package for him...and Buerhle WILL be looking for a very pricey long term deal. And if you're willing to trade some top prospects, then you're going to want him for more than 3 months.

Price tag is too expensive...especially for the Red Sox...aka best record in baseball.

Too bad the BoSox are not the best team in baseball. They reside in Detroit.

I think the Sox are intrested in Buehrle just to jack the price on the Yanks....just like they did with clemens...who pitched in relief yesterday...lmao.

The Sox are really going to stick it up the Yanks ass when they score A-Rod next year.

No, but if does something worthy of insult wearing those gay ass pinstripes we will let him have it.

I really believe A-Rod is the best player in the game. And will probably retire with about 825 HR's. And I am not kidding.

To see such an awesome talent playing out of his natural position is a travesty and only shows how retarded the current Yankees are being.

He will blow the all-time numbers out of the water.

About the park factor link. Fenway was higher than The Cell in 2003 and this year only.

Rob-

c'mon man...of course Sox fans hate a-rod. Nobody gets a worse reaction at Fenway than a-rod (incl: Clemens, Damon, Bonds, etc).

The moto of Red Sox Nation is: What have you done for me lately? (ie: everyone hated Tavarez last season, everyone hated Pedroia last month, etc)

If lately = A-Rod wearing a Sox uniform, then they would welcome him w/ open arms.

That doesn't tell the true story... The White Sox play at US Cellular they are the worst offensive team in baseball this year...

Comiskey is definately one of the top 3 parks to hit in in baseball
You don't understand what a park factor is. It doesn't matter how good an offense is (Comerica is #11 despite the Tigers leading MLB in almost every offensive category). It's relation of stats at home vs. stats on the road. It's obviously not a perfect system because some teams can hit better on the road than others, but it is generally pretty accurate.

Comiskey is a nice hitters' park, but they aren't in the top tier (Fenway, GAB, Coors, Jacobs Field, and Citizens Bank, IMO, others may have a slightly different list). They've only finished in the top 8 once in the last seven years. They're more in the second tier, along with the likes of Kauffman, Yankee Stadium, The Ballpark in Arlington, and so forth.

What are you talking about... It was just quoted on here that this year and 3 years ago are the only two years that Boston has ever been in front of the White Sox....

2006, 2005, 2004 Sox were 9, 9, and 3... Ahead of Boston every year...

And b4 04 the renovations hadn't happened so the Ball didn't fly out as much...

So the last three years the White Sox were ahead of Boston and for one year Boston is ahead and it is suddenly a better hitters park

Sources told the Boston Herald early Tuesday afternoon that "the Red Sox are no longer really in the running" for Mark Buehrle.

Reports state that the White Sox wanted either Jon Lester or Clay Buchholz, as part of the deal.

Smart decision by Theo / Red Sox...no way they were going to get Buerhle at a bargain price...also of note, Buchholz just stuck out 11 in 6 innings yesterday. As a non-red sox fan, I'm very dissappointed they didn't mortgage the future to get Buerhle, lol.

Rev_AL, this is where I am a bit lost. And no I wasnt with that deal in any way shape or form.

What the hell is taking them so long to call up Lester?!

We need his help. After seeing Tavarez and Snyder last night. Good grief. Bring in the arms.

On WEEI they ask Francona that every week...I guess they really don't want to rush him up...I guess Lester luvs to text message Francona to tell him he's ready.

But I can see their point...aside from last night, Tavarez has arguably been the best #5 starter in the league....but he'll eventually have to be their 'right arm' in the set up role...so Lester will be called up eventually.

The thing people forget about Lester...last season, he looked good - but he did fall behind a LOT, and routinely had 90+ pitch counts in the 5th inning. His control wasn't quite there...i'm sure more minor league seasoning will better prepare him to not over extend himself, once he gets back to the majors.

Out of any team in the league that needs a SP it's the Mariners by faaar.
Their offense is pretty nice too. I cant imagine how good they would be with a decent staff. They really arent even that far behind the Angels.
