Iowa traditionally plays very well against the Gophers and the Hawkeyes are playing with a will to win right now and the Gophers are reeling.Journeyman said:

I was surprised that the Gophers opened up a -3 favorite.
I thought the game would come around PK or -1.
THE BIG INTANGIBLE IN THIS GAME THAT MANY PEOPLE/BETTORS DO NOT KNOW IS WHAT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME IOWA PLAYED IN THE DOME TWO YEARS AGO................IOWA WON THE GAME TO WRAP UP AN ORANGE BOWL BERTH AGAINST USC IN THE FINAL GAME FOR BOTH TEAMS AND IOWA HAD LIKE 40,000+ FANS IN THE DOME AND THEY ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED THE PLACE AFTER THE VICTORY. BOTH GOALPOSTS WERE TAKEN DOWN BY DRUNK IOWA FANS AND ACTUALLY CARRIED UP THE STANDS AND OUT THE DOORS OF THE METRODOME. THE MINNESOTA ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT AND DOME SECURITY WERE EXTREMELY UPSET WITH THE IOWA FANS.
The GOPHERS players, coaches, and fans will remember this and the DOME will be a madhouse this weekend. I am expecting the crowd to be completely out of hand for both teams. IOWA will probably have more fans there......or about even and all hell is going to break loose with fights and such.
This is a very tough game to handicap...........but my lean is towards the HAWKEYES +3.5
The Hawkeyes defense is bonecrushing(3 ALL-AMERICANS) and should cause trouble for the Minnesota offense.
On the other hand, the HAWKS still have ZILCH for a running game having been forced to start the 6th RB on the depth chart.
I think if you like IOWA, you should bet it now....................as I see this line going nowhere but down.
I see the +3.5 have allready pretty much vanished.

Top 2 teams in USC and Oklahoma, also California very good, but then there's a big mush in my opinion. None of those in the next group are significantly better than Utah in my opinion. Especially them being at home.

Utah wouldn't stop the power of Wisconsin, but Wisconsin would not stop the athleticism of Utah either....I think the home team would win at both places...
Utah is not getting enough respect...they blow teams out and give up alot of points when the 2nd team comes in...What was Urban Myer suppose to do last week, they could have score 80 against Colorado State..CSU scored all their points in the 4th...

collge football will not move to a playoff--- the regular season would become next to meaningless exactly like the NCAA basketball regular season. only thing that matters is conference tourneys and the big dance.
ratings would take a huge hit int he regular season and they arent willing to do that.. every game matters this way and I prefer it this way.
