He just started in net last night for PHX and they play again tonight on a back to back so Gretzky starts him again? For some reason Gretzky doesn't like to use Tellqvist even though he is really good. Gretzky was a great player but he is a stupid fucking coach.

Ya, the Great One has a great idea on how to score goals himself but has no idea how to utilize his goalies properly. Already this season I have seen Gretzky numerous times pull this shit where he sticks with Bryzgalov on back to back games even though Bryz is struggling. For some reason he just doesn't like using Tellqvist who is one of the best backup goalies in the NHL. Pure stupidity. Sure, Gretzky knows what he is doing to the tune of his goalie giving up 3 first period goals to a shit team. Real smart.

Does Gretzky pull him out? No way, that would be the smart thing to do. That would signal that you were actually trying to win the game which you don't want to do as the head coach God forbid.

Tellquist is far from one of the best backups in the league but I do agree that Gretzky isnt half as good of coach as he was a player.

Tellqvist has a .922 save percentage. For a backup, that's pretty damn good.
