If the MVP came down to Bryant or James which player do you think would be more worthy of the MVP title? :think2:

And Lebron wasn't terrible before Master Kobe taught his student how to pick up his game and work ethic in the Olympics, especially on the defensive end?

I love how Kobe haters always talk about Lebron having a shitty team. When Kobe had a shitty team, they said he didn't deserve the MVP because he couldn't elevate them to contention.

Lebron had a shitty team for the majority of last year, but when they got Wally, Ben and Mo, which is far more help than Kobe got, the Crabs started doing better. Not to mention, Kobe spilling all the secrets to Lebron.

At the end of the day, Kobe is the best when it comes to crunch time. Nobody would take Lebron to make the last shot, because he can't hit jumpshots and he can't hit freethrows.

The only thing Lebron knows how to do is travel and get away with it, and inject steroids up his ass, so he can use his bulk to charge into players and draw a foul, where he'll end up going 0-fer.

You are completely right about one thing, Kobe could not elevate his team into CONTENTION when he had a crap team. To be exact, not even sniff the playoffs. How about a 34-48 record for good old Kobe in 04-05 when he had to carry the team on his back. If I remember correctly the CLIPPERS had a better record. Looks like Kobe could use some secrets from Lebron on how to carry a team, cuz he damn sure knows how!!
Look man take your purple n yellow jersey off for a second and think straight. What happened last year??? Lebron took the Cavs to game 7 vs Boston by himself. How well did your boy fare vs. Boston?? :think2: Hmmm The lakers have a FAR better team than the CAVS if you pull Lebron and Kobe out of the situation. No arguement. Lebron dominates staatistically hands down not even close. Whats there more to look at? The question is who is more VALUEABLE and the answer is Lebron. Tune in at the end of the season to see him receive that award...@)

For me this was a hard question when I asked myself this last night. No doubt in my mind that both Bryant & James are just amazing players. There is nothing like watching Kobe lead his team to victory in the 4th Qtr. making those tough shots when it really counts. Or watching James putting up 40+ points by himself against some real tough teams. I feel that James and Bryant have both taken there games up a notch this season. To tell you the truth I don't think I would be disappointed if Bryant or James won this years MVP. My hat goes off to both players.

Wow, you don't really play basketball, do you? You're just an armchair strategist. It's called matchups. Lebron's steroid-infused physique simply matches up better against Boston, because he can travel and bang into guys and draw a foul.

Anytime Lebron and Kobe have went head to head, Kobe has embarrassed Lebron.

But what do you know? You're just the typical "anti-LA" Gay Diegan, who thinks he's so much holier than LA, when he lives in shitville Mira Mesa, which is like LA, but without anything to do.

You might be the biggest idiot and hater on this forum.

Really? Lebron didn't average 18 points on 75% FG's and 60+% three's in FIBA Americas? he was the best player on that team, and throughout the olympics. Kobe had a terrible shooting slump in the olympics through the first 4 games or so put picked it up later. LeBron consistently played the best throughout.

I love how Kobe haters always talk about Lebron having a shitty team. When Kobe had a shitty team, they said he didn't deserve the MVP because he couldn't elevate them to contention

Bullshit. Most if not all analysts agreed that Kobe deserved it in 05-06 when he dropped 81. Even then, he did not play the ALL AROUND basketball that LeBron James has. For fucks sake, he is the 4th leading scorer EVER per average already and he just turned 24.

[At the end of the day, Kobe is the best when it comes to crunch time. Nobody would take Lebron to make the last shot, because he can't hit jumpshots and he can't hit freethrows./QUOTE]

Ahhh, and to prove why you're an idiot again.

In the clutch, LeBron has better numbers than Kobe, and oh..look at that, he's shooting 87% free throws there too. I guess that's a lie by whoever made that website right? Too bad ESPN uses it for their statistical database.

The only thing Lebron knows how to do is travel and get away with it, and inject steroids up his ass, so he can use his bulk to charge into players and draw a foul, where he'll end up going 0-fer.[

You're saying this about a guy who had 48 points, 29 of the last 30 in 4th and OT's, you know that right? The greatest single performance in playoff history.

Anytime Lebron and Kobe have went head to head, Kobe has embarrassed Lebron.

Head to head: LeBron's winning streak is up to five with a sweep of this season's two games. Because they play different positions, the two rarely guard each other. But when LeBron decided to defend Kobe in the final minutes of a tight game at Cleveland in December, he outscored Kobe 6-0 down the stretch. In L.A. last month, LeBron again outscored Kobe in the final two-plus minutes and also hit two free throws to ice the Cavs' victory

LeBron has Kobe beat head to head in every area except ft's. When they met he had more points, reb, assists, blocks, steals, on average.

Just to restate what actually happened. LeBron finally decided to guard Kobe in the final 2 minutes of the game and kept kobe to 0 points on 4 missed fg's while LeBron made 3 straights, including stopping the potential game winning fg from Kobe. Next time they met last year, he hit the go to shot in Kobe's mouth, then hit free throws to ice the game. Cavs lead the Lakers over the past 3 years in the season series and leBron has dominated Kobe each time.

Stop making shit up to prove a point dude.

That's because Kobe came first. Doesn't mean he is more valuable to his team.

And he's not, clearly.

LeBron got a little improvement this team with Mo, but Kobe had 2 all-stars and arguably the best coach ever the past 2 season.

Kobe shot 3-13 last year in a game vs the Nets and his team still won by 15. You think that would have happened with LeBron's team last year? He missed 7 games and they lost every single one of them to shit teams including OKC and Charlotte.

This is the point:

LeBron's team is 2.5 games back from the Lakers. LeBron himself has A MUCH worse team than Kobe and a much worse coaching staff. Regardless, he is playing better individual basketball than Kobe (more points, fg, reb, stls, ast, blocks).

Just picture it, if LeBron made the finals with those bums 2 years ago, what do you think he'd do with Pau, Odom, Fisher and a deep bench?

If those 2 or 3 wins that the Lakers have over LeBron mean THAT MUCH as to take a player who is playing at a considerably lower level than LeBron, then you're an idiot and you take Kobe. If you understand the level that LeBron is playing at while leading his shitty team, than you're NOT an idiot and you take LeBron.

Food for thought: LeBron currently, if he keeps this up all season, has the highest PER out of any player EVER per 48 minutes.
