I'm not a big puck fan but this was still great for many reasons.

1. A lot less people trying to cut you off on the road, people are in good moods for atleast a few days. That is the #1 thing I take from it. Anytime you can get more normal driving in Boston for a few days its a good thing.

2. Great for the local economy, all the bars/restaurants/liquor stores able to do really well with the Bruins playing a whopping 25 playoff games. (Yeah NFL is popular but they don't play 25 games in a season, nevermind 25 playoff games)

3. Have a lot of friends who claim to be diehard Bruins fans (I have to be honest here, I don't remember talking to ANY Bruins fans from like '00 to '07 or so) although considering the longass strike and Jeremy Jacobs being cheap I think its understandable being checked out for a few years.

Anyway congrats to the Bruins for finally winning the Cup after 39 long years..

Nice vid.
Over a million people in attendence for hockey team. What did the Mavs have? about 250K.

The Bruins took the cup all over the city to diferent bars and resturants around the city in the days before the parade and let the fans drink from the cup. thats what its about, gotta love it unlike the nose up in the air other major sports.Hockey players are without a doubt the most fan freindly.
Go Bruins!
Go Hockey!
Now, if the NHL can't market what has happened over the last week with the uniqeness of the genuine sharing of the Bruins players sharing the cup with their fans., and the way they won the cup.I feel sorry for the NHL,because it is perfect for what the NHL needs.

its been unbelievable, the afternoon they got back from vancouver they brought the cup to tia's on the water....took it to gypsy bar friday night....parade was saturday marshmont was jumping off and on the duck boat high 5ing fans...then after the parade..."the team arrived at SHRINE, the owners hand delivered a 30 liter bottle of Ace of Spades “Midas” champagne at a price tag in excess of $100,000. One of only six such bottles of champagne in existence, the bottle was signed by every Bruins team member in attendance. It will be featured on display at High Rollers and raffled off at a later date to benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation, the team’s non-profit foundation that assists charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life for children throughout New England"

Great stuff for Bruins fans and pro hockey in general...I have games six and seven stored on disc and it is still fun to watch the games with a bit of fast forwarding...The fact that Boston winning the 2011 Stanley Cup pretty much came out of nowhere makes the win all the sweeter..
