Who are they going to sign that has a better QBR than #14 in the league? I mean, he isn't great but he threw for 2,800 yards, 14 tds and 4 ints.

Who are they going to sign that's better?

I think you're missing the point. Does it really matter if Tyrod Taylor is the 14th best rated qb vs signing a veteran who is 16th or 20th in qbr when you're only getting a fraction of a season out of that player? This isn't a long term move and you're giving up a chance to draft an Alvin Kamara or Kareem Hunt who both went in the 3rd round last year. I guess if you're looking to settle on mediocrity it's a good move.

My friend tried to tell me they are going to win 8 games this year lmfao. I said you know they are going to set their win total still at like 3.5 lol
Hasn’t the total been set at 4.5 for some time now? Lol

I think whether you sign Taylor or a veteran, it's only a stop gap either way and Taylor is better than any other option out there at the moment.

I wouldn't take him over any of those players either but his numbers are serviceable and the Bills made the playoffs.

You do realize that 2 of those players are free agents that they could have made offers on without giving up anything? Hence why not a good move. One of which has stated that he is looking for a short term deal in order to chase a larger pay day.

I just don't see a better option. He's as good as anyone else out there in my mind.

Maybe i'm wrong but didn't you in your last post say you wouldn't take Tyrod over any of those players in a list that included 2 free agents? Then in your next post say you don't see a better option than Tyrod Taylor?

A team projected to win 5 games or less who will without doubt draft qb in the first round this season is foolish to spend a top 70 pick on a qb that won’t be around in 17 games.

even if Tyrod is the best qb to wear a browns uniform in the last 20 years

This reminds me of the clown on the saints message board 2 days ago who wanted to trade Micheal Thomas to the Seahawks for Richard Sherman . lol

2 days before he got cut

I think the problem is a guy like Keenum or Bridegwater is probably looking for a 4 or 5 year contract with more $$ guaranteed than the $18 million they'll have to pay Taylor for just one season if the plan is to draft a QB at #1 or #4.

I think we're talking about choosing between three women that are +300 pounds.

None are good choices haha.

I'm not sure why they didn't just give AJ McCarron the same contract the Bears gave Glennon(3 years $45 million, $19 million guaranteed), then cut him after year 1. They must feel that Taylor gives Hue Jackson a better shot at keeping his job beyond next season which could help with team moral rather than have a dead man walking I guess.

Exactly my take. Bradford, McCaron and Keenum all signed a 2 year deal. Bridgewater signed for 1. And they take a rookie qb who is turning 24. He is starting soon rather than later. I guess it's possible there we no fa qb's who would sign there. Just doesn't seem likely.
