Apple- I think with the new rules trying to open up the game and with salary issues the days of the goon are numbered. McCarty is probably out in Detroit at 2.5 million now.

Darren will redo the contract as his band,family and wifes family is there. he has maybe two years left in the NHL, tooo bruised and battered. He all he sudden thought he was a goal scorer and cut back on fightin. Shanny took that over and boy can Brendan throw em'. Ken Holland, even with the cap will be a genius and see who wants to come to the wings to win ANOTHER Cup.Mike Illitch now with the cap will be able to support both the Wings and Tigers.

In the Sunday Detroit News it laid out the new CBA points and one is if you do a 2/3 buyout of a players contract you can't resign him after so it's all or nothing.

McCarty status very bleak here since 2.5 will bring some scoring.

If Brown coaches in NY, it will just add to the list on why i don't like the NBA. He creates all of these problems during the Playoffs and now spinning this story of " Maybe he can't coach the whole year because of a illness ". Watch this guy end up In NY.

Pistons play 45 minutes north of downtown, Players and coaches never see downtown Detroit. There have been much improvements to the downtown with the Super Bowl coming.

All these nice things about Detroit and no mention of Windsor. :hump:

I hope they agree to pay Brown, but not let him coach. He is a major distraction, but can save Isiah (for a year anyway).

I took a cab when I was in Detroit and when the driver wanted to stop the car he told me to stick my feet through the floorboards. The cab fares are so low in Detroit that the drivers don't drop the flag, they just tell you what you owe them. Homeless people have more money than cab drivers in Detroit.
