The early timing is a slight surprise, but the result isn't. Orton was acquired from Chicago to start, with Chris Simms made for a backup role. Orton, known for his football smarts and work ethic, has picked up the complex offense faster. We like him as a sleeper in fantasy leagues because the Broncos will pass a ton.

Are Denver fans totally insane, or do they just like to boast. Denver will be out of the playoffs by the end of November. I have already faded them against the Chargers at home and against Dallas at home. I gave 2 1/2 points in each game. That is easy money. I want ot thank all of you Denver fans in advance for putting money in my pocket this year. They now have the master of the 3 yard swing pass as their QB.

Absolutely. They gave away a decent QB and then did nothing in the draft. Not much of a future for this team.

Ayers instantly becomes their top D-lineman and Moreno will be a stud back for them for the next 8 years, a big upgrade on all those 2nd rate running backs they have as backups. I don't see how you think they did nothing in the draft?? 2nd rounder Alphonso Smith's not gonna hurt them too much on D either. S Brian Dawkins is past his prime, but he's the type of leader they need out their on defence. This team will not make the playoffs but their not gonna be as horrible as some people make them out to be... They will be the second place team in that division

To be fair Orton was a victim of the system he was in. Also, he was playing great last year before he messed up his ankle, then he rushed back and was never the same. He averaged 6.9 yards per attempt up until his injury, with 10 tds to 4 interceptions (When he returned he had 8 tds to 8 ints). Not bad for someone with Hester as a #1 wr, an awful offensive line, and Ron Turner as an offensive coordinator.

whether they finish second in a terrible division or not, all I'm trying to say is I don't think they are going to be "horrible" as I've seen mentioned several times. They came out okay in the draft, and the defence will be slightly improved. I don't think their offence is gonna be as bad as people think.

The problem with Denver is that they were a .500 team last year who choked away their Division Championship. Now they have a team that is worse on offense, no better on defense, players demanding trades, and a HC who aparently thinks he is the next coming of Bill Belichick, but who has not won a game in the NFL as of yet. I think Kansas City may beat them out for 2nd place, but we are talking about teams who may win 7 games tops, so who really cares?

SD should run away with this division next year. I'll be happy if Denver can reach .500. Wouldn't that be funny. Kyle Orton at QB, new coach that isn't proven and finishing the same as last year with a solid coach and Cutler. LOL

ESPN loved Cowboys & Seahawks last year and we know what happened to them... you never know.

A solid rushing attack could bring back great things to Denver, shortening games. Hopefully the D will show up this year

denver did add to the defense and being in a division with the raiders and chiefs (who had a combined record of 15-49 in the last 2 seasons) sure helps their chances
and if the charges are plagued with injuries denver could be better than expected
