Brock Lesnar has been temporarily suspended pending a full hearing after he failed two drug tests surrounding his return to action at UFC 200 in July.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission revealed during a hearing on Tuesday that Lesnar tested positive for clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene, which is a metabolite of chomiphene. Clomiphene is an anti-estrogen agent that is typically used after a cycle of steroids to prevent many of the side effects that come along with the performance-enhancing drug.
Lesnar failed two drug tests — one from a pre-fight out of competition sample on June 28 and another from the night of his fight with Mark Hunt on July 9.

Lesnar won the fight by unanimous decision, but the state of Nevada has the right to overturn the result depending on the outcome of his hearing, which will be scheduled at a later date.
Lesnar faces potential sanctions from both Nevada and USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency), who oversees the UFC's drug testing program. Lesnar's attorney Brian Stegeman has been contacted and will work with Nevada to set a date for the hearing where they will be able to present his defense in the matter.
Lesnar already came under fire after he was given a four month exemption from USADA drug testing prior to his UFC return as part of the company's anti-doping program.

Athletes are allowed that exemption if their return to competition happens under extenuating circumstances and Lesnar's deal to comeback to the UFC happened at the 11th hour ahead of the card in July.
Lesnar has also received a huge amount of backlash from Hunt, who erupted after hearing that his opponent at UFC 200 tested positive for a banned substance both in and out of competition surrounding their fight.
The date for Lesnar's next hearing will be determined soon as Nevada typically holds monthly commission meetings to handle these kinds of matters.

I dunno pocket....most of those guys are using something.

It's just the Brock stands out more because his physique is superior...

Yeah but what happened with Lesnar pisses me off... especially after what happened with Jon Jones... they ALL knew Brock was using shit before UFC200 yet since he was the "saviour" of the PPV they go after Jones... and now the USDA is after Diaz for vaping? are u kidding me?

Coke (Jones) and weed (Diaz) dont enhance shit as far as physical performance... coke works for short outburst but fucks your cardio up... I can go jogging 3 weeks straight, no coke... and on the 3rd week I indulge a friday next day I'm gasping for air and sweating bullets.

UFC/USDA/ need to get their shit straight... recreational drug use nowhere as bad as anabolics/enhancers

Coke and weed contribute to far more prison sentences, crime, poverty, and health problems than prescription fertility drugs. Given that Lesnar wasn't even at risk for the most common side effect (reversible ovarian enlargement), there is absolutely no reason for it to be banned other than for WADA to justify its existence.

Dude, I mean it for sport performance not overall life/society... the fact Lesnar was allowed to cheat and Jones wasnt able to compete is laughable. And now they want to give shit to Diaz for vaping after taking that stomping he took on his face? did you see that mug? hell, I would splash him some morphine if he asked me to.

In that case you are even more mistaken. Coke and weed are far worse for sports performance than Clomifene.

You think they make you better? Seriously? Or you are referring they put you in danger competing at that level while snorting an 8 3 nights ago? Aneurysms and shit? If thats the case I agree but I dont see why they penalize coke/weed over anabolics... the 1st are partying and acting stupid no enhancement but more health risks... the latter is plain cheating

[h=1]Dana White says Ronda Rousey won't fight at UFC 205 in November.[/h]Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey will not fight at UFC 205 on Nov. 12 in Madison Square Garden, according to company president Dana White.Rousey (12-1) has been virtually silent since last November, when she sustained the first loss of her career at UFC 193 in stunning fashion to Holly Holm. Rousey lost via head-kick knockout.
White has repeatedly stated Rousey intends to fight again, but told the "UFC Unfiltered" podcast that return fight will definitely not take place in the UFC's highly anticipated card in New York.
"She's definitely not fighting in New York," White said. "I'm actually going to start building the New York card this week."

Dozens of UFC-rostered athletes have publicly requested to fight on Nov. 12. The pay-per-view event will mark the UFC's first trip to New York since a ban on professional mixed martial arts was lifted earlier this year. The ban had been in place since 1997.
In June, White told SportsCenter that Rousey, 29, had recently underwent a minor procedure on her knee and he was "hoping" she'd fight by the end of the year.
The UFC has two pay-per-view events scheduled in December. UFC 206 will take place on Dec. 10 in Toronto. UFC 207 is scheduled for Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Rousey, who fights out of Glendale, California, defended the UFC's bantamweight championship six times before falling to Holm.

They penalize weed and coke because our culture has decided that it is vitally important for sports leagues to help us fight the War on Drugs. We should consider any drug use to be cheating is because someone decided it must be against the rules. Coke and week are as much against the rules as fertility medication. It is all plain cheating.

(Lesnar was not busted for anabolics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anabolic_steroid and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clomifene, given what did pee hot for it's almost certain that he was using them. But then again I don't think Allen Iverson ever tested positive for drugs when he was playing. . . )

I like how Mark Hunt said Lesnar had "Gear" meaning he was on steroids. I didn't like that he called him a white monkey, several times actually. I'm not going to start marching or make t-shirts though
