If the sole intent of his return is to "stick it to the packers," he will have lost the few packers fans who still stand behind him. What a small and bitter individual

Never seen my teams colors look worse. That picture should be destroyed.

I understand you havent seen a real QB in purple for years so I'll forgive you for your statement. Address the QB situation and maybe then the Vikings will compete

I don't disagree that the QB situation is a joke. But I for one have never drank the all mighty Bret Kool-aid. He is WAY overrated at this point in his career and I have no desire to have him on the team.

If he does end up there I have no choice to root for him like I had to when Jim McMahon was brought in all washed up.

brett's got demons like the rest of us... but most of the country doesn't know. TKE's post earlier would explain so >:) Right now, I don't like Brett at all... i barely did when he was a packer--but at least that was where he "belonged"

LOL Farve on the Vikings!? This season will be hilarious, I really hope they pick him up so he can retire again and then go play for the Bears or something.

I personally would rather have Rosenfels or Jackson starting if I were a Vikes fan. Favre would come in for 1 season, and I am 99% sure they wouldnt win a Super Bowl behind him after he couldn't even make the playoffs last season (even though Vikes are on the whole better than the Jets were). Might as well give Sage or T.J. a season to develop and look at the big picture, this move would just set the team back a year

Developing? So why didn't you give T Jackson the whole season instead of having Gus come in and win a few games. If sage or TJ qbs for you...you have NO CHANCE of making the playoffs. With Brett you can win high scoring games and probably will win the North. Developing quarterback.....isn't that the Vikings saying every year?

Well first off I'm no Vikings fan, but Jackson was injured- hence him coming back at the end of the season when they thrashed the Cardinals and then starting the playoff game against the Eagles. How wouldnt they make the playoffs? They made it last year with Jackson/Frerotte, and improved their team from what it was since then. And personally, I think they would def make the playoffs with a decent shot at winning the North with Rosenfels- he's been known as probably the best backup in the league, and performed well on the Texans when he played outside of the bad play he made against the Colts

Until Childress gets fired this topic will remain. He thinks he is a QB guru and yet it's the one position he hasn't filled.

Farve is over the hill. I watched every Jet game last year and if there is a strong pass rush he just flings the ball away hoping his receivers can catch it. But if Minn has a strong offensive line that can protect him, he may be able to play very effectively and have Minn in the playoffs.

Tavaras Jackson is yet another failed dumb mobile scrambler quarterback that keeps being given a "chance".

I know he sucks, you know he sucks, everybody knows he sucks but that media fails to go after this guy because that would be mean.

The only people that support him support affirmative action and sports and that's pretty hilarious factoring in who it's coming from.

The problem isn't that TJ tries to be a running Qb. He would have much more success if he took off more often. It's when he tries to stand right in the middle of the pocket with a blitz on and he either chucks or ducks.

They need to run him through drills every day with constant pressure on him so he can make better decisions in the game.

I've got little faith that he will amount to anything but he does show signs at times that he can play.

In baseball terms, you don't want a power hitter that strikes out as your quarterback, you want a smart, all around guy that is consistant. A guy that hits over .300 and does it over and over and over again.

One stupid pass, one failed blitz pickup or one slump of throws kills a drive, has a sack/fumble or interception written all over it and turnovers kill.

My beef with a guy like Jake Plummer wasn't that he couldn't do anything good, it's just that he'd come out there and make one of the stupidest throws I'd ever see in my life time 1-2 times per game. When Mike Shannihan minnimzed that one year, Jake made the probowl. The other years he was jake the trash man plummer.

The problem is, Tavaras Jackson isn't even the power hitter that strikes out a lot, he's the guy that strikes out a lot that SOMETIMES hits home runs.

He doesn't have the mental capacity and experience to play QB, and everybody just tip toes around the issue.
