Who does this guy continue to think he is to act as if everyone is biting their nails waiting in anticipation as if this is the biggest announcement in sports history or something?!

Report: Favre to give Vikes answer by July 30
</TD></TR><TR vAlign=top><TD class=vaLabel colSpan=3>Brett Favre - QB - NYJ - Jul. 15 </TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>The Associated Press reports that free agent Brett Favre will give the Vikings an answer on whether he intends to play in 2009 by July 30th.
That's when Vikings camp opens. Favre felt "pretty good" after a workout Wednesday, but still isn't committing. He isn't truly holding the team hostage because this is a dead period in the NFL, but surely the team would prefer an answer soon. Favre recently increased his workouts to four days a week. He says his throwing velocity is back, but isn't sure yet if he can go 16 games.

Green Bay and Chicago hope he plays.

So does everyone in vikings land. a 90 year old interception machine is still a more viable option than tavaris "quincy carter" jackson

he is an interception machine, forces way too much shit. I'm not going to deny he has great arm strength, but all the receivers he has had play with him have basically made him look great, having to fight and dive and go basically way off route to catch some of the stuff he throws.

As a MN resident and Vikings fan - I'm in agreement that Farve coming to the Vikings should only bring good things. Ticket sales, publicity, and having a quality QB. Even if he doesn't play the entire season, the mentoring he could offer the younger QBs would be a good value to the Vikings.
