Maybe it wont be such an terrible season for the Hawkeyes this year.

Very important year for Steve Alford, in my opinion. Needs to have a decent year with the youngsters to get quiet the critics calling for his firing.

The Freshman TYLER SMITH was quite impressive and appears he will be a very, very solid player in time for the Hawkeyes.

However, the Hawks have no size whatsoever and it will be a long year in the rough Big Ten for them.

HALUSKA and SMITH do give them a nice combo though and makes them at least worth watching.

Agreed.... they are a terrible rebounding team. Gorney and Tate hardly make for a front line. But they will atleast be watchable this season.

first hawkeye basketball game i've went to this year. a lot of empty seats but those that were there were pretty loud.

gorney is awful; looby has a slight defensive presence; tate had his best game by far tonight. i wish Palmer didn't have to redshirt this year.
