60 Million Guaranteed.
Quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are close to an agreement on a contract extension, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
A source close to the negotiations told ESPN "we're close."
The deal will be a four-year extension worth $87.6 million, according to ESPN and a Sports Illustrated report.
The deal would put Wilson on par with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is the NFL's highest-paid player with a deal worth an average of $22 million annually.
Wilson was scheduled to make $1.54 million this season, the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. If he had not agreed to the new contract, Wilson faced being tagged as the franchise player next February.
