I don't have a very good feeling about this one. Our lack of discipline will catch up to us in this game (defensive assignments against their option attack, penalties--we already have 63 this year for almost 600 yards with 3 games in which we had 12.) Antone is banged up and Jermaine Thomas is probably still seeing stars, so our depth at RB is limited. GT is a physical team and will be ready to go. You are right on about the line movement, it smells. More people are hitting FSU, yet lines moves 3 points the other way. You now have an unranked team favored over a ranked team, and we all know how this story usually ends. I will be a spectator for this one. I hope FSU comes out with their A game and rolls, but my gut is telling me that we go down.
Go Noles!
Wagerline only has people picking FSU at 51%. I wouldn't call that pounding. Yes, I got the Noles -1.5 and got hit with a mini-reverse line move, but this is different than the UCONN-Rutgers game a few weeks ago because 80% were pounding UCONN. Even then, UCONN missed 3 field goals and missed the cover by 1 point. As far as situations, Tech is the one in a Vegas trap system based on the numbers (8-34 ATS). The general perception is home favorites bounce back after losing as home favorites. That works better if they are road dogs, but not if they are Home Favorites. The general public perception is they won't lose two games in a row as Home Chalk, but the numbers suggest otherwise.
