Over half their games have been vs Offenses that are the bottom 1/3 in the league, 2/3 have been in the bottom half, and only 2 games (out of 14) have been against top 10 teams. And versus the lone top #5 team (Patriots) lots of referee controversy in that game.
Brock has had it pretty easy since replacing Manning (home game vs Patriots with amazing penalties called your way), (Chargers team not focused and very injured), (Bears team thats just near the bottom of the barrel in talent), (Raiders team thats still young, inexperienced and in the middle of a makeover from top to bottom), (KC Chiefs team with mediocre and safe offense, no real downfield threats)...
With such a young QB going on the road to play in a very fan frenzied Pittsburgh, it should be his toughest game yet. Averaging just 1 TD a game isnt going to win at Heinz Field. And the Steelers Offense has so many threats that the Broncos "D" are going to have to try and contain, Inside, outside, down the middle, over the top. Should be fun to watch this defense try and cover an entire field, instead of just focusing on 1 or 2 players.
With Brock under center, with Kubiaks dull and boring offense, there just wont be enough to keep up with the big plays and drives the Steelers have been doing week after week. With a RB and WO's to try and contain, the ?Steelers are an offensive juggernaut who will be hard to contain. Laying the 6.5 should be easy and a no-brainer.
Experienced QB and explosive offense vying for their playoff lives AT HOME vs Dull offense, but great defense that hasnt faced a team yet that can spread the ball from the backfield to anywhere forward, AND with a wide-eyed new QB who the coach will keep giving him safe plays. EASY game here, no need to over think it.
ICING ON THE CAKE - Martavis Bryant's 25th birthday is game day (just a fun fact), and should grab Aquib Talib covering him.
