I understand App State is a solid tough blue collar team, and this is probably one of the biggest games played at their 35,000 + seated stadium but I don't think they are catching anyone by surprise.

Miami knows that App State is a competitive team but is a -3 the right number. I just see a talented, superior Miami team that has athleticism that will prevail.

I've been around long enough to know that Joe Public will be all over the U and that is scary. I haven't looked at any consenues numbers but I don't need to. When Vegas drops a -3 on Miami v APP State that is scary.

Offense
It looks like the U has focused on running the ball much more this year with Mark Walton and Joe Yearby. Walton comes in with 271 yards and five touchdowns, while Yearby has three scores and 226 rushing yards. Miami already has 10 rushing TDs this year compared to 20 all of last season.

Brad Kaaya.....still QB at Miami? It feels like hes been there forever hasn't it? He is a legit threat at QB

Defense
Miami pressures on D and has a very solid D line with depth guys they rotate in. They like to bring pressure period. Their linebackers are young and inexperienced which still hold a ? in many eyes.

The secondary is very solid and experienced which I think will cause App State problems.

Insight and thought are welcome, I know there are much better games on the board here but I just don't see App State winning or covering this game. Vegas could have dropped 7 and the U would still would be heavily backed.

Apologies....I see there was already a thread started on here and it looks like many agree.

When an o-line who averages 6'5 315 and has been as dominant as Miami has this season (yes inferior teams) with a team as athletic as they are I see value. Yes this will be the 1st true test for Miami but App St isn't catching anyone by surprise.

This could very well be a public blood bath but this is my idea and I'm sticking to it

How is Miami's Offensive Line? I watched the entire TN game and the App St. LB was busting through the line almost every play and they kept Hurd in check all night and contained the run for TN. I feel if Miami can balance their game plan, App St. is going to give up some big plays as they do not have the depth to run and gun with a Power 5 team for 4 quarters. The TN game was different as TN was one dimensional. TN really only made a few big time plays and ran a very vanilla offense thinking they could just run the ball 35-40 times and win. App. St. blizted almost every play and actually dared Dobbs to throw the ball since he is not as good as advertised. Just my thought. I see a ton of people on App St. on the boards and hearing experts are taking them as well. Guess we will see tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the insight

I think one of Miami's biggest strengths is its o-line. They have been using their size and dominating teams in the run game. Granted they were supposed to. They also do a nice job protecting Kaaya who is experienced and can make plays.

I don't know much about App State. I know that they have a good running game but a questionable passing game. I think this allows Miami to focus on App States run game and force passes with Miami's veteran secondary creating a few turnovers.

One thing that does scare me is Miami's young and inexperienced LB's

I think this is a beneficial line due to the fact that Tennessee slept through the first half of their first game. App. St. is a fun , small program and I'm sure this is the game of the century for them. But Miami has better talent, a much better QB and they are ready for App. St.

I'd tread real lightly here gents, I'm 3 hours from Boone and they are chomping at the bit over this game, especially after nearly knocking off Tennessee AT Neyland. They brought back most everything from last year's bowl winning effort and as we all know, pigs do fly in their world, ask Michigan about it. Don't bet what ya aren't willing to part with in this one.
