I would have to say my rankings go like this going into camp.

1) Cowboys
2) Saints
3) Seahawks
4) Giants
5) Panthers

I think if the Cowboys and Saints meet in the NFC Championship the Saints take it because they have owned the Cowboys as of late.

Seahawks are always solid year in and year out and they will finally get to play with confidence without Alexander.

Giants could easily have a Superbowl hangover this year. It always happens in the NFC.

The Panthers are two years removed from the playoffs now and could put together a nice season and sneak up and punch some non expecting teams in the mouth.

cowboys - most talented team and they should be hungry after last year's dissappointing loss to the gmen in the divisional round. that's my biased opinion.

I'd be willing to put Dallas there if they had won a playoff game in the last several years. I am a big romo spporter but until they do it i would put them behind a few teams. One team missing from your list is Philly. Westbrook is just as valuable as Tomlinson but doesnt get the pub. I also like St Louis to turn their ship around into a possible division win.

Don't sleep on the Vikings or Rams. If the Vikings can somehow get Favre, they will become a strong favorite with that defense.

The Rams are my sleeper pick this year.

Dallas vs Washington in the NFC Championship game and Dallas wins to go to the Super Bowl (where they lose to the Pats).

New Orleans is not a good team at all. Dallas is better at every single position on the field.

How can anyone pick the Skins?

New coach and staff playing in that division.

Jim Zorn?

I like the Giants to repeat with Manning just get better and better and taking the reins off the offense.

Zorn is a much better coach than Gibbs right now, and he'll improve the offense. The defense is great, especially with the addition of Taylor. They are the second best team in the NFC by quite a bit IMO.

Neither the Giants or the Panthers are as good as the Vikings. The entire reason the Giants won the SB last season was their defense, and they clearly have lost some key components to that D. Ahmad Bradshaw was also big for them down the stretch. As for the Panthers.. not even close. Delhomme will never be as good as the season he went to the SB and he is coming off Tommy John surgery, not to mention they lost their best defensive player in Kris Jenkins. They will be even worse than they were last year, not a playoff team.

Meanwhile, the Vikings have the BEST offensive line in football, the BEST defensive line in football (with Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, and Pat Williams this can't even be argued), and without a doubt one of the best 2-3 running backs in the NFL. Barring injuries, it won't matter if Tavaris Jackson is only mediocre as he was last season. When you can dominate the trenches on both sides of the ball like that, this team is easily better than the Giants and the Panthers.

Chester Taylor is easily a top 20 back and would put up top 10 numbers behind that OL, so AP getting hurt isn't a massive deal. It would obviously hurt, but I believe they are a playoff team regardless of whether or not they have AP on the roster.
