Braves will Win 2 in Houston...

I found this write up earlier....worth a read

I expect the Braves to ride the momentum of their game 2 victory into Houston for game 3. Atlanta will hand the ball to John Thomson. He pitched outstanding down the stretch as the Braves won seven of his last eight starts. He allowed one run or less in each of his final five starts of the season. The Braves were also 9-3 when Thomson started day games this season. The Astros send Brandon Backe to the mound. I expect the rookie to be shaky in his first ever postseason appearance. He lasted beyond the fifth inning in just one of his last five starts. Look for the Braves to rough him up early and then get into the Astros bullpen. Atlanta takes the upper hand in this series.

I think Braves in game 4 is worth a serious look...Backe has been a very nice surprise, if he doesn't have the stage fright jitters he should be as good as he' been...Why not? Atlanta bats are dead...Lets not forge how hot Houston hasbeen at home either...

Oh and one more thing, Thompson vs Houston batters a robust .298 career avg....6.95 ERA, plus he is coming off an injury...I will take my chances with the hotter team, playing at home...

i totally agree. although atlanta isnt all that. they have been playing very poorly. if i were to play the game tomorrow i would have to play houston. i want to see atlanta get some heart into it again. with their last win, this might be so. i will see how they perform tomorrow, and decide to play game 4.

i am just playing the MLB stock market tomorrow, that's all:toothless

I picked Houston here at the ALLSTAR BREAK, was told they would never jump over 3 teams to make the playoffs. Here we are and are looking good to make it to the next round IMO. GO ASTROS!!
