This guy is about as solid as it gets. Guy is so efficient. If he were to take more shots, the guy would average 30 ppg easily. He is right there behind Kobe and Dwyane.

all-underrated:

devin harris (the second best point guard in the league behind chris paul)

josh smith (just a great basketball player)

rasheed wallace (stats slipping this year - but probably one of the 5 most skilled big guys to play in the nba the last 10-15 years. he'll go down as one of the most underrated of this generation simply because he's an asshole)

marcus camby (this guy deserves to play on a good team for once in his career. deserves way more publicity for playing both ends of the floor)

brandon roy (way underrated in college. way underrated in the pros. much like josh smith - just a smooth basketball player)

52 points on 14-27 FG shooting. 5-7 from behind the arc. 19-21 from the FT line. Also had 5 rebounds and 6 assists. 0 Turnovers. What a fucking stud....

The reason I say underrated is because when people mention the great players in the game, they mention Lebron, Kobe, Wade, but you rarely hear Roy's name. Not saying he belongs with that group, but he is right behind them. Guy should be mentioned more when talking about the best players in the league.

Roy has what is sorely lacking in all basketball, fundamentals. Sounds simple, but he does all the basics and does them well...plays solid d, rebounds well, passes the ball, and has a fantastic left hand. He is only going to get better. A real joy to watch, which is hard to say about the NBA these days other than Kobe and Lebron

Harris is underrated, however strongly disagree that he is the second best point guard in the league. Guy is a great scorer at the position. Only 6 assists per game at the PG spot aint gonna cut it for second best in the league. Give me Deron Williams.

Josh Smith is OK, but far from great. Guy shoots a low %. Not a good jumper at all, terrible from behind the arc. Also a bad FT shooter. Very explosive and exciting to watch. But far, far, from "great."

Also, Rasheed is not underrated. He is highly inconsistent. Always has been. Guy has great skills that not many big men have, however he never put it all together. Plus, he has been declining over the past few years.

Camby great on the defensive end, great on the glass. But terrible offensively.

hawks are a top 4 team in the east with josh smith. probably miss the playoffs without him in the lineup. his value cant be quantified by stats or percentages. which is why i said hes an excellent 'basketball' player. he makes that team COMPLETELY different. and legit.

rasheed declining at this point. but his entire body of work has been underrated. outside of dirk, there has not been a tougher matchup than rasheed wallace at 6'9 or taller in the last 10 years.

harris is a scoring point guard. williams more of a conventional point guard. matter of preference. but harris much like roy in that he was underrated in college and turning out to be underrated in the pros.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree with Josh Smith. Put Marion in his place, Hawks probably the same team. A bunch of others could also fill his spot and the Hawks would have the same success in my opinion. I do agree he is a good player, but far from great. You cannot be a small forward and be that bad of a perimeter shooter, that bad of a 3 PT shooter, and that bad of FT shooter

Agree about Rasheed. As a Heat fan, he was the one Piston player that always scared the hell out of me. A very tough cover. When he was on, it seemed like he couldnt miss. Drilling threes, hitting turnarounds. However, it just seemed like the fire wasnt there all the time. If he played with the same intensity as someone like KG, he would be right up there as one of the greats.

absolutely agree. his intensity comes and goes, often within the same game. when he comes to play, he is a top 5 player in the league. when he fucks and around and big times it, hes a top 25 player in the league. his game is so smooth that you wonder if he even knows how good he could be. there was a time when larry brown first arrived and got through to him where sheed was scary good. now its flashes here and there of greatness. he seems ok just being a very good player. kind of a shame. he could score in every way possible if he made an effort to.

i would say granger is definitely more underrated, along with devin harris.

chris bosh is as underrated as it comes though. he's a legit top 5 player in the game and i never hear a word about him. toronto has played terrible this year, but it's not because of him, he's been incredible in most games, only reason they stay somewhat respectable.

cant agree with the statement of roy being with wade and kobe. to me he's not even close. hes a very solid player and i love him, id take him on my team any day, but the talent difference is immense between kobe/wade and roy. id love to see roy get matched against james if they play this year. it wouldn't even be fair. roy would do nothing on offense and need help constantly on defense to handle the absolute beast that is lebron james.

I agree. Roy's shooting percentage is incredibly consistent. I don't think I've ever seen a game, where he had an off night. He's always hot.

Still, the difference between Roy and Kobe, is that Kobe draws the double/triple team. Roy is still guarded by one individual, just like the other guys on that list, but if he was guarded by two/three guys, he'd probably lose a lot of that efficiency.

Granger and Roy most underrated IMO

Portland would be still OK without Roy but without Granger Pacers would be worse than Oklahoma which is plain horrible .
