Interesting game tomorrow between Spartak Moscow and Moscow region team Atlant , both are in the same division and already played once last week . Game ended 5-5 with Spartak winning in the overtime , tomorrow I see another close game but most likely with many goals and some penalty minutes for both teams .

I usually dont like to do big plays in the beginning of the season especially not in hockey but today in the opener at home for one of the most offensive teams of the last few seasons against a rival like Magnitogorsk it should be a hot game , can see any results from 4-2 to 6-4 or maybe even 3-3 .

Looks like Ray Emery is clearly the backup for Atlant after only one start... but in his defence, he is behind a pretty good goalie in Kolesnik. All three games with Kolesnik have gone under the number, as he has a GAA of around 1.

Home opener for both teams , Riga had 5 road matches : 2x Khabarovsk , 2x Novosibirsk and one against Novokuznetsk .

Astana really surprised me against Ak Bars who are one of the title contenders , came back from 2-0 down in Kasan only to lose 3-2 with 30 seconds on the clock . Their opponent tomorrow was really bad on road last season , not sure about their new signed players tho .

In fact nobody allowed more goals on road last season out of 20 teams in the league than Astana's tomorrow opponent Traktor Chelyabinsk ( 115 GA on road ) .

Astana looks really really thin up front, and pretty solid on defence. Under 5.5 might not be bad in their game, although I have no idea what their goaltending is like... or who they will start.

I am glad Riga beat Atlant otherwise I would really pissed at Ufa blowing 0-2 lead with 9 minutes to go to kill the parlay .
Close win for Magnitogorsk as they couldnt score more with Khimik playing with 4 men almost whole game due to penalty minutes .
