What do you guys think about this

<TABLE class=oddsTable cellSpacing=0 summary="UFC 94 Odds"><TBODY><TR><TH scope=row>B.J. Penn</TH><TD class=moneyline align=middle>+175 </TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=moneyline></TD><TD class=buttonCell> </TD><TD class=buttonCell> </TD></TR><TR class=odd><TH scope=row>Georges St-Pierre</TH><TD class=moneyline align=middle>-245 </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I figured that this would be much closer -130/100. Do I hit BJ large now, figuring that closer to fight time this line gets tighter and I will have the option of betting back some. Gonna go with 1u now. Where do you see the line moving? I think this is an incredibly tough fight to predict.

Georges St Pierre has the edge in standup and wrestling with BJ having the edge in subs. GSP has shown a much better gas tank as well and with both guys being so hard to finish, that could be huge in a fight that will likely go to the cards. I think the line is about right IMO with GSP having such nice sub defense and athleticism.

Actually made it 2u, just cant see this line staying at that large. BJ appears to be re-dedicated and has never never shown any issues with moving up in weight. GSP is an athletic freak, but BJ's take down defense is world class. He has better bbj, and I think the stand-up is pretty close to even. BJ battered GSP on the feet in the first battle. I expect a better version of both fighters on Jan 31 and i am very excited for this one.

this was actually -170/+130 at 5dimes today then not 30 mins later it went to your current odds. should be a real barnburner but i still question penn going 5 rds with st. pierre. both have seem to " rededicate" themselves but since that serra loss gsp has looked like a beast. penn has no competition at 155 imo and although i'm very much looking forward to this i like st. pierre to win. gl.

Terpkeg, if you're feeling BJ, I think now's the time to get on him. The original line I felt was set pretty well so if you can BJ at a better price do it.

Here is my take on this story ...

GSP is the right favourite here , maybe not - 245 but he is . Bookies as always ahead here ...
Not many people will bet on GSP at those odds so most money will come in on BJ as value bets with + 175 and this is what bookies want well of course unless BJ Penn wins this fight . I cant touch this one the way odds are set atm , I fancy GSP to win so do bookies and just hope for as much BJ money as possible and they most likely will get them because I sure don't see more people betting on GSP at - 245 than BJ at + 175 .

i have actully rolled with both guys

in no gi GSP is comparable on the ground and is better at strikes, kicks, strenght, wreslting and endurence

they say BJ is so great on the ground, out of his 13 wins he has 5 by submission

also when was the last time BJ fought inthe mundials or pan ams or ADCC.

is he a good grappler yes, a great one, not so much anymore. i can name 15 better grapplers off the top of my head and GSP is training with most of them in Brazil

Good idea terpkeg. The line has already fallen in GSP's favor. Now at -200 at Bookmaker.

I would expect this to drop even further considering the marketing and circumstances around the fight. I make GSP about a -200 favorite, but with the hype surrounding this and UFC doing a 24/7-like show, I'm thinking this will be marketed as a coin toss. Also, BJ has possible the largest contingent of die-hard fans out there that think he's superman propping up this perception.

Hope you got a lot of BJ at the good prices (pun somewhat intended). You should be able to buy back later and at least cover I think.
