I am about done with baseball until after all-star break.
I will be playing one game a day and only for a unit from here until all-star break. Try and get back into the groove.
Tired of all these bad breaks.
Updated Record: 101-82 (+33.12 units)
^ at least we are still positive

You guys sound like a lot of whiny poker players I know.
I was ahead up til the river card. Well, guess what?? You get to use all 5 cards on the board. Not just the flop, and the turn, but also the river too.
Baseball is a 9 inning game. Just because you have the lead after 5 innings, or 7 innings, or 8 innings..doesn't mean you should win the game. You have the advantage of being ahead, much like the poker player, but river cards and bullpens decide many outcomes. It sucks when it doesn't go your way, but that is part of the game.
Much like the poker player who only remembers the river card that beats them, conveniently ignoring the times he has been bailed out by them, baseball hdcpers do the same thing. There isn't a baseball hdcper out there that hasn't had their share of come from behind victories, as well as benefitting from a bullpen meltdown by the other team. Its just that the losses feel worse than the wins.
This happens in every sport. The late 3 pointer that hits the backdoor cover, the late TD that beats the spread. Every sport has them, baseball too. I don't hear people laying off football after a tough couple beats, hoops neither.
Keep it in perspective. JBragg, you have been excellent thus far. I wouldn't let a little bad luck get you down. Shit happens, and I'm sure you have won games you should have lost also. As you so aptly stated, it is a grind.

Controlling the highs and lows is a difficult task, but is paramount to staying focused and avoiding foolish wagers. There is always another game and another race. Good luck to you going forward.
