brag on my kid , i'll be glad too...

my 12 year daughter has had to deal with the death of her mother when she was 20 months old , the death of her great grandmother 6 months later and just recently the death of her grandfather.

she matured very quickly.

she is in the gifted program and has made all A's and 1 B both grading periods this year.

she is in girl scouts and is always looking for ways to help her community.

i tell her atleast once a week that she has exceeded every expectation i ever had of being a dad...

i wake up every day wondering what she will do next that will blow my mind.

Sounds like she has had a great parent behind her for the first 12 years..can't wait for the day I get to walk mine down the aisle....:103631605

hey VD, will you start pressing up your Bets when the news comes through? I know many who dropped their long standing Bankroll in an attempt to make The Books pay for the wedding. :toast::drink:

I already told her any chapel in Las Vegas will do...seriously though, money is not the problem...it will be hell trying to get all the relatives and friends from around the country and the world together in one place...

Son is almost 3 and can knock the shit out of a baseball. Very funny too. Vary bad attitude and I like that. Says a curse word occasionally.

Which words and in front of which relatives?

That is aboslutely awesome! If you don't mind me ask, are you married or are you raising her by yourself?

thank you and thanks also to WW and VD ...

i have never married again. i have wanted to her to know that she is the only female in my life. i have dated a few girls , but never serious enough to think long term.

i married the girl in my little town that every guy wanted to marry. i was so lucky to have been her husband for 3 years.

she was the girl that every girl wanted to be and every guy wanted to see..

and my daughter is turning out the same way. she has 100's of friends and i am told atleast once a week by another parent how happy they are that my daughter is their kids friend.

i am truly lucky to have the kid i do.

i actually quit my job when she started kindergarden so i could go have lunch with her and her classmates a few days a week. every kid in her grade ( 60 kids ) knew who i was by my first name. it was best 30 minutes of my life over and over again...

Maybe We should have a DOTING DADS Forum where Parents can go all wobbly talking about their Family instead of going all wobbly talking about Betting. :drink:

If I had kids they would probably be cooler than the rest of the Poster's children, they would pretty much rule. They will be doing shit like this while Whale's kids are playing tether-ball:
