So does this mean Willie lost some bets? Is this official?

Don't think so, as this is still going to court. Lots of scenarios on table, including the whacky one where goes to appeals which are pushed back or decided after season, brady loses and he misses games in 2016? How do you grade that lol.

I wonder what would happen if Jimmy G starts them off at 4-0.

Could this become Brady's Bledsoe moment?

It would not be as wild of a scenario as what happened when Brady took the highest paid QB I'm the NFLs job over a decade ago .

If you look back it was a very courageous move when BB benched the highest paid player in the NFL for a 6th round pick.

Jimmy G is going to be the real deal.

I bet Brady knows this and I bet he's at least semi worried.

Huh? It would be a way, way wilder scenario because Drew Bledsoe was the franchise player of a team that went 5-11 the year before. Brady is considered 1 of the best QBs ever and the Pats just won the superbowl.

A good player being replaced is far, far less wild of a scenario than 1 of the best players ever. At the time of Bledsoe's injury, the Pats were 7-18 over his previous 25 games started, wasn't as hard of a decision as you remember. Especially after they played well the next 4-6 weeks with Brady.

The thing about destroying the phone is not a big deal to me.
I don't know why people are making such a big deal about that.
They already had all the text records. That's the only thing that matter in this case.

Im sure Brady probably had other things on his phone totally unrelated to anything that had to do with deflate gate that he did not want strangers seeing.

Who knows maybe he had a sex tape with a bunch of women he did not want TMZ or someone like that to get ahold of.

Can any of you honestly blame him for not wanting strangers to have 100% access to his phone.

A cell phone is one of the most personal items a person owns.

It can pretty much describe a person life 100%.

Its the new diary .

Would you want a bunch people to have unlimited access to your cell phone?
I did not think so.

Im sure he was advised not to let them have phone, last thing they want is league to set precedent and have more power than they have. Nflpa and Brady's agent also said they had all transcripts (and I believe we will hear a lot more on this later this week).

as for brady destroying phone. Well not a good look for Tom. Maybe he just panicked? Who knows. Bottom line is if league got all transcripts and communications they asked for, cell phone issue really serves no purpose outside of league trying to garner support for their bagjob.

He has watched his coach get rid of all pro players at a similar point that Brady's career is at now .

In a league full of players who are cocky to put it mildly Roger Goodell is the most arrogant of all. It just chaps my ass to think of that arrogant prick making as much money as he does yet can be so clueless on certain things. And I am not a Patriots fan either but I might just pull for the Patriots to win the Super Bowl this year just to see Goodell, Kraft, Bellichek, and Brady all up on the podium together.

He would need to play at a Brees in '09 level to even think about supplanting Brady. It isn't like Brady is coming off a bad season, the last game he played he threw for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns against arguably the best secondary of all time.

The words "Tom Brady" just upset me. Be a 6th round pick, get cut, play in Europe, out of my hair. Why aren't you are a black qb drafted in the 6th round.

He he would not supplanted this season but a 4-0 run from the new guy would plant the seed that life can go in 2016 and beyond without Brady.

BB has done this at every single position on the football field since he's been there.
Why would he change now?

Yeah, perhaps it would be like a Young/Montana thing.

Or Garrapolo could suck, we'll see

The schedule is somewhat favorable for him. Bills only D out of the 4 you would consider to be good.

Guesser what do you think of those lines in post #57

NE PK range vs Pitt
+2 @ Buff
-7.5 vs JVille
+3.5 @Dal

I think they'll still be a point or 2 fav hosting Pitt, Buff line looks good, maybe -9 against Jax, +5 against Dallas. I think so much of the last 3 would be dependent on how he looks against Pitt.
I think they'll go 1-3, only beating Jax. They started last year 2-2.

Well yes, of course when you get to the actual week the game takes place in, it is going to be heavily influenced by the previous weeks.

I just mean the advanced lines. Obviously what NE is vs Dallas week 4 is going to mostly be based on perception/info that doesn't exist yet.

Yea was just about to say I looked it up and was mistaken.

The KC beat down was so bad a guess I must have counted that one as 2 loses instead of just 1.

I have a funny feeling they are going to start off 4-0 as they play with an us against the world mentality. Look for them to start running up scores again as well if they have the chance to do so,
