Good bet Chop and I agree. The NFL will lose all integrity if they reduce the 4 games. Cheating cannot be treated lightly.

not cheating, and if the NFL doesn't reduce the penalty (personally I doubt they will), the courts will just like they've done twice recently

Utterly ridiculous.

You keep comparing dissimilar cases to draw incorrect conclusions. The reason the Ray Rice suspension was vacated is because the NFL tried to apply a standard retroactively. The NFL had already conducted a process to get to a suspension, then changed the rules and applied the changed rules to Ray Rice. Note that Rice's suspension was "indefinite" which is not the case with Tom Brady.

On the Petersen case, "two weeks later, theCommissioner retroactively applied the New Policy to Peterson." Further: " Henderson simply disregarded the law of the shop and in doing so failed to meet his duty under the CBA. As a result, the arbitration award fails to draw its essence from the CBA and vacatur is warranted. See Trailways Lines, Inc. v. Trailways, Inc. Joint Council

There is absolutely no relationship between what happened in the Rice & Petersen matters and what happened to Tom Brady.

Your continued reference to them is nonsensical.

I tried to patiently explain the legals matters to you when this Wells report was released. You don't seem to have much interest in actually understanding these issues.

So virtually every suspension in the league is reduced, but this one won't be? They basically hand out suspensions knowing what the real anount of games will be after an automatic appeal.

I challenge anyone to read the report and tell me exactly what he's even being suspended for. Brady probably wont even get a game when said and done. If goodell doesn't step out as arbitrator it will end up in court where I don't see Brady losing.

How was the RR and AP reduction taken by the public? Not so good imo. This is a totally different issue than domestic violence off the field. This is about manipulating the main instrument in football (cheating). If it's not cheating then there wouldn't be rules on how much air pressure you should have in your footballs. If Romo manipulates or manipulated his footballs then he's cheating. If GOD lets air pressure out of his footballs then he's also cheating. Cheating is cheating.

I haven't spent 4 minutes watching or discussing this deflator issue outside TheRx. This is maybe my 3rd post about it (2nd post just above). The biggest holy shit moment in this whole issue is how much time you have spent posting paragraph after paragraph defending and explaining Tom Brady's footballs. Willie get a grip. Lol. Who really gives a damn. People are already gonna think what they want about the Pats and their persona. No amount of words you write or articles you post will ever change that. Because if there was an amount of words to save face then you my friend would have reached that plateau many weeks ago. Take a step back dude and just let it play out and let people think what they want.

Personally, I hope he's back for the Cowboy game because I don't want there to be an excuse when they whip the Pats ass.

The NFL takes cheating very lightly.....just not with the Patriots.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings played their coldest home game in 38 years on Sunday, when they beat the Carolina Panthers in 12-degree temperatures at TCF Bank Stadium.
As both teams dealt with the freezing temperatures, Fox cameras showed sideline attendants using heaters to warm up game balls, which is against league rules. NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said Monday morning on NFL Network that officials warned both the Vikings and Panthers not to heat up the balls during Sunday's game, and would remind teams this week not to heat game balls.
"You can't do anything with the footballs in terms of any artificial, whether you're heating them up, whether it's a regular game ball or kicking ball, you can't do anything to the football," Blandino said. "So that was noticed during the game, both teams were made aware of it during the game and we will certainly remind the clubs as we get into more cold weather games that you can't do anything with the football in terms of heating them up with those sideline heaters."
By rule, the home team is responsible for providing the game balls. The footage shown on NFL Network is from the Vikings' sideline, though there are attendants from both teams on both sidelines and a league source said the Vikings weren't heating up the balls during the game.
Zimmer said he hadn't heard anything from the league about it on Monday, adding, "Somebody told me (Carolina's) ball boys were doing it."
Ball boys are allowed to carry hand heaters, as Fox officiating analyst Mike Pereira pointed out, but they are not allowed to put game balls in front of sideline heaters. The Vikings have two December home games on their schedule -- this Sunday against the New York Jets and Dec. 28 against the Chicago Bears. After the league sent out a warning, it stands to reason they'll be watching the sidelines closely in cold-weather games this month.

This reminds me so much of bounty gate it's scary. It was later found out that many NFL teams hadbounties for hits.

But this is not about right and wrong it's about PR.

If I were the NFL I would fire Goodell and throw 100 million bucks at Silver to to leave the NBA

Now that's a real leader.

You guys just don't get it. The reason the Ray Rice suspension was vacated is because the NFL tried to apply a standard retroactively. ^ That is from the Doty decision. There is absolutely no relationship between what happened in the Rice & Petersen matters and what happened to Tom Brady.

Don't just take my word for it:

What are the chances of Brady proving victorious in court?
Not very good. Before Peterson, there was little to no precedent of an NFL player getting a suspension overturned in a court of law (Bountygate was overturned by Tagliabue).
“There’s definitely an uphill battle in getting an arbitration award overturned — it’s nearly impossible, unless you can show bias,” Liss-Riordan said. “And I think it’s going to be pretty hard to vacate an arbitration award based on the arbitrator being biased if the CBA allows for the arbitrator to be an interested party.”

On the matter of the Patriots suspending dumb & dumber because the NFL asked them to:

Goodell also refuted media reports the Patriots only suspended the two Defltategate employees — locker-room attendant James McNally and equipment assistant John Jastremski — on the orders of the NFL.
