Back out of the hospital. It was a fun experience but at least the food wasn;t bad. I got to study a lot of material for March Madness , and mostly importantly I've been cleared to fly to Memphis for the south Regional Final
I studied 4 sets of power rankings that I like, the past 5 yrs results, and the current seasons stats. This is what I have come up with for what it is worth
OBSERVATION #1
This really has no bearing on this yrs tourney but over the past 5 yrs the WEST was the bracket truest to the seeding followed by the East , South and Midwest
OBSERVATION #2
One of the teams who won round 1 went on to win another game.Some like Lasalle and Tenn won multiple games. Of course over the yrs , they weren't always 11's
OBSERVATION # 3 THE STANDARD SWEET 16
Over the yrs there have been slight variations but the standard sweet 16 is :
3-4 ones..if you use 3 a 8 or 9 will have to beat you..this yrs 8-9s are not overly exciting so I will use 4
only 2 twos it's helped that some yr the 15 takes out the 2

Based on the power ratings Kansas is definitely overrated And a big ??? on Gonzo.I;m moving them all thru. MSU and Miami have too many issues bit tempted
2's with only 2 2's moving on the stronger 10's and 7's face KY and Louisville. Arizona is by far the most overseeded 2 but 3 of StMarys 4 losses have been blowouts to a Gonzo team that is quite similar to Zona. Marquette could beat duke but there is a question mark on the status of their center and play SCarolina basically at home.i'll probably push Louisville through and dump the 7 this yr
3's `OREGON really got hurt by the Injury to Boucher otherwise they could have been a top seed, Baylor has always been overrated and I have them losing to SMU in round 2 .. FLA ST was really rolling though erratic..Still I will move them on with UCLA..I will make SMU(should have been a 4) my 6 and that will leave Rhode Island as my 11
4's /5s Really a toss up here is my opinion..given the opponents I'll push Butler through the other 3 are tough. My preferred 5 is NOTRE DAME. Mike Brey gets so much with so little. For yrs I watched his teams overachieve in the BIG EAST TOURNEY at the garden. This yr in the Acc I thought they would win it. The beast I ever so was 2 yrs ago in cleveland. I was back a few rows behind the Irish bench sitting near Mrs Brey. They were beating Kentucky, Ashley Judd was crying and then Jerami Grant got away from what they were doing all game, hogged the ball and blew the best game in the tourney 68-66. That whole last 10 minutes despite coaching his ass off Brey was kidding with the players and asst coaches so relaxed at such a crucial time. His players reflect that. Which is why they are the best free throw shooting team in the country and also one of the best ball handling teams having probably the best assist /turnover ratio other than UCLA. Their weakness is the boards which unfortunately plays into West Va strength offensive boards. West Va though isn;t that great at protecting their own boards. Another stat I like..West Va is only 1-2 playing on 1 days rest . Their press probably takes a lot out of them . The Irish are 5-1 on 1 days rest. So NDame is my first #5 seed
Have middle tenn beating Minny, they could also take out Butler
Really don't know what is going on with Va, they are erratic They could lose to UNCW so won't move them on..Fla could have beat Nova but not without Ebunu or however you spell it..So Ndame and 3 fours for me as Purdues size takes out Iowa State
