Bracketbuster System

With Bracketbuster weekend starting Friday night I was wondering if anyone is planning on betting the system again. I know there was some controversy last year but I still won over $1,000 doing it. Not bad for one day's worth of work. I was thinking about just betting the totals as the 1-3.5 point dogs & the double digit dogs haven't done well the last 2 years and the unlined teams have went 10-21 the last 2 years. Looks like Vegas has figured those out. Thinking that since a lot of books only offer totals for televised games they don't worry too much about that part of the system. The system:

Bet the OVER for all totals that are 144.5 or less. Some filter out games with a double digit favorite since they are more likely to be a blowout & won't have fouling at the end to help push the total over. Record from last 3 years for the overs.
22-9 in 2011
32-16 in 2010
30-10 in 2009

Couldn't find the breakdown for prior years but know the complete system has always been over 60%. The rest of the system is:

Play all dogs of 1-3.5 points
Play all double digit dogs.
Play on all teams that don't typically have lines.

I am thinking about it and was thinking of doing exactly what you said, only playing the totals and forgoing the other parts of the system. I don't totally recall but is it best to lock in all of the totals early and then any games that are close, check on them up to the tip off?

Just asking, do you all use opening or closing lines & what book do you use as your guide book, i usually use Pinny as my guide.

mtm are you using the filter on your totals record, i am showing 34-17 for last year looking at last year's thread for totals.

sparticus - i use 5Dimes and have tried to lock the wagers in when the lines come out that are definite system plays

Of course there are differing numbers, depending on your book.
I followed last year. Here is what I had:

Sides: 10-10
Overs: 29-17

No wasn't positive on last year. I posted all the plays but didn't post the results. I went by another poster's record. I was gonna backtrack it this week. Either way 31-17 or 29-17 still works for me. You got by closing lines but I'm gonna lock in any totals that are under 140 as soon as they come out. I doubt the line is gonna go up more than 5 points. Totals that opened 140-144.5 I'll wait on & see where they close. I figure more totals are likely to go up than down so it's better to lock them in as soon as possible. I've lost a few totals every year by a point or less so its important to get the best number possible.

I just want to give Ned credit now. He's the one that created the system. Now Before someone comes on here & says we are gonna be in for a big surprise on Saturday cause the system has been altered, I heard that last year. Someone came in here on Sunday laughing like we lost a bunch of money. Yeah it didn't do as well as in past years but I still made money. Last year I played all of them but I'm just gonna play the totals this year. For the 6 years that I know of the totals have never lost money & have hit at over 60% the last 3 years.

I'm going to lock in the totals that open at under 140. I'll wait till closer to tip to lock in the others just in case they get past 144.5. Lines should be out around 4PM Friday. There are 2 games on Friday too so I'll post them Thursday night if they are in the system.

2 games on Friday night & around 70 games Saturday. Not all games will have plays.

Make sure you are using a book that offers all college basketball totals & not just the televised games.
