With the events today in college football, it's time to admit that our current system is flawed. No matter what happens, the final result is going to be ugly.

It is time to accept the fact that we must either have a playoff system or go back to the system that worked just fine for 100+ years.

The BCS system has always been flawed and now is totally failed. The NCAA cannot keep this mockery of a championship beyond this year.

Let's go back to the way it used to be with just a few bowl games on New Year's Day, all of which actually meant something.

Too much money involved in bowl games for NCAA to just give it up.
As much as we would love to see playoffs, there are too many TV deals done and sponsorships granted.

Would work fine to determine the champion. Could be four, eight or sixteen teams.

That would destroy the bowl system for all the rest, however. If you look at the way it is now, all the bowls have lost interest except for the National Championship game.

The bracket system would work just fine, as long as you are willing to say goodbye to the smaller bowls. I would prefer to just drop the BCS and try to forget it ever existed.

Gentlemen, rejoice! In all likelihood U$C will be ranked #1 in both human polls and yet end up playing Michigan in the Rose Bowl, while the "national championship game" feature OU & LSU. If U$C then beats Mich the national champion is......

This would be the death of the BCS, no doubt.

Couldn't agree more. This system is terribly flawed.

They should slowly adjust to a playoff ... maybe just the top 4 BCS get in a bracket or something???

Some sort of playoff is needed for sure.

SC-Michigan would be the most compelling bowl game of the year, the Rose Bowl would finally get its traditional matchup and get two strong teams that finished the season well. LSU gets the almost home game against a suddenly beatable team. While I wish the system would burn I think the projected matchups actually would do the NCAA good, doesn't that suck!
