Boy, that Hollywood thread sure got buried quickly

What's with this new policy of burying the Rx advertiser threads where most posters never go???

I mean this used to be the place to "applaud, bitch, and moan." This is where most people look, not way down at the bottom of the menu.

If there an advertiser, and they have a problem, let them keep it here and be proud of how they resolve it.

Jay, when a first time poster comes here with an un-substantiated claim about an advertiser book the thread goes to the dispute forum. When there has been some time to verify the charges made then the thread will be welcome in the offshore forum. We do not want to hide anything, but when post #1 is a claim against one of our advertisers we reserve the right to check it out before allowing it to stand Offshore. I have already made a post in the board room asking the day moderators (The General) to make inquiries. If a veteran poster such as yourself had made the post it would still be here.

The fact of the matter is someone has started some rumors that Hollywood has had some bad luck with baseball, and has borrowed money. The fact that they may or may not have borrowed money is really not indicative of their overall liquidity. Plenty of businesses borrow working capitol from time to time. Also one needs to figure in the internet pentient for exaggeration. I personally have complete trust that Hollywood is as strong as ever, and look forward to working with them this football season.

There website plainly states, paid within 24 hours of request. Sadly I have beat Hollywood silly, for many, many months. Especially on NBA, and MLB. It is not my fault they have the best number. Bottom line is, they have it in writing, on thier website. If they are unable to fulfill what is in writing, no matter what the circumstances, then they themselves have constituted a slow pay. I do not need a watchdog site or meeting of such to tell me that. I prefer to work with books, and if their are extenuating circumstances, I still work with them. Just because your getting the best number and beating them doesn't mean they are in trouble. I would venture a guess that they got hit and thus moved the number to a favorable position for you to come in on the other side. It is a give and take business.

I hope you dont mind me posting in this thread as I dont personally have any funds in Hollywood right now, but I did stay at a Holliday Inn Express last night.

Pancho, you as well as I know if you are sitting on the screen, with the best number, it draws the most action. I never said they were in trouble, ever. I know I have found the best number there on many occaisions, and so have others. When all of these cash, it cannot be good. I really do not have the time or effort required to fuck around trying to move my money. Let me bottom line this for you. I made a request, last night, was told to call back in morning. I called back, they explained, and assured me money should be in Neteller within 4 hours. I have no problem with that. Just inconvenient. I am not running on thier Neteller out of panic, just adjusting high balance. I am not in a happy mood. But I also am not a total prick, and they have the opportunity to make it right. We shall see. It should have been buried quickly. When one of the most solid books in the industry such as a Hollywood gets attacked by some newbie, the post should be moved unless there is SERIOUS TANGIBLE info proving that they are in dire straights. Based on people that I know in the business, Hollywood is far from in dire straights. Everyone will always get paid, and everyone can sleep well at night playing there. I have known several of the major players in their company for many many years, and they are about as honorable as people come. I play there with confidence, and NEVER worry about my figure size or whether I will get paid. These people who come here with their conspiracy theories about solid books like Hollywood with absolutely no "inside" knowledge are a total joke. All this stuff comes down to is honorability, and whether a book wants to do the right thing. Hollywood does, and the people who like to scream fire in a theater don't.

Request was made last night. Their website states all Neteller requests will be paid within 24 hours. So, technically speaking, at least for OF, they have until tonight before it would be considered slow.
