Been on the wrong end of 2 tight games. Pitt's Hines Ward fumble, and the Packer 2 pt conversion. Moving on to tonight:

3* Oakland Raiders +10 -110
1* Oakland Raiders ML +450

Call me crazy but I am one of the few that like what Oakland is doing. You draft a QB like Russell that can chuck it 80 yards and you draft 2 WRs in Heyward Bey and Murphy that can flat out run it down and stretch a defense. You've got your stud playmaker in McFadden (HEALTHY), you've got your serviceable spell back Fargas. You got an emerging TD in Zach Miller. They figured out where to stick Gallery on the line. I think this offense will do better this year.

You lock down Nnamdi who is your shut down corner, you get Seymour (not there yet obviously), etc. But this team has a bit of a plan, and with Russell contuing to get experience at QB, and now having a few weapons and a healthy running back will make him better.

SD has had some off field drama and distractions with the Merriman fiasco. LT is getting older, as well as Chambers and co. They visit a very tough atmosphere in a division game and are laying double digit points. Chargers roll people at home behind that energetic crowd, but not sure if they can go on the road with a MOTIVATED Raiders team with a clean slate in the early season and blow them out.

10 points is a lot in the NFL, especially for a motivated, live home underdog.

you have very good points, but it's hard to shake that NOR preseason game where they got absolutely OWNED and Oakland was actually trying in that game....

The offense is going to be better this year, but outside of Asamougha, I dont like the defense at all.

good luck

Jamarcus Russell is not a solid point on that team. He is a turnover machine and is just a shitty version of Culpepper. Actually Culpepper might be better then Jamarcus right now. The rb's are ok Mcfadden is overhyped this isn't college anymore, he will have his moments but is not all that.

2* Buffalo Bills 2H +9.5 -110

Bills no huddle, running game, great coverage on defense and constant pressure on Brady will pay off as this game wears on.

None of these guys you have mentioned have had much time in the league. Don't be quick to pass judgement on 1st and 2nd year players. People used to rip Eli Manning to shreds his first 4 years in the league until he won a super bowl.

Let the thing play out, McFadden was injured last year and JaMarcus was trying to pass without a running game or weapons.

Not saying these guys are the Saints or anything, but they have value.

I do agree with you on Mcfadden he could be good. But Jamarcus is a bum and I did play the Raiders as well tonight. I just think Jamarcus will never have a career in the NFL

Yo, I saw you lost on Bears and Dolphins but wasn't Skins +6 a push?
Unless I'm missing something aren't you 0-2-1?

Slayer, saw your thread after the late game began, but I too used OAK +10 as a regular and even used them ML as the lead game on a 3TP (with SEA and DAL next week), again at regular risk. Pays about 24x1 thanks to the +450

Pretty sure that BS, like myself, treats Pushes as "No Action" when posting W/L records

Like I said it's easy to make the determination right now that JaMarcus sucks. He hasn't been all that in his first 2 years in the league.

You can't deny the guys talent though. He has a hose. He is a big body, he can take hits, he's athletic.

He's always had shitty WRs, non explosive running backs, and an average offensive line. Granted, he missed some open receivers last night and sailed some balls high, but he also made some critical conversions and looked good when the running game was working. He is starting 2 rookie WRs right now, so again, he needs a little more time before we can accurately make any determination on him.

The obvious conclusion is that he sucks. I'm just saying I've seen this happen with a lot of QBs before and he may turn out to be okay. He doesn't have the accuracy to be a perennial pro bowler, but I think he could develop into something good enough to win a super bowl with if given time and the right weapons. Right now, he isnt there yet partially because the team isnt there yet around him. I used to say similar things about Eli when everyone used to rip him to shreds and say he was a bum for his first few years, and the guy will be a career NFL starter with at least 1 NFL super bowl.

Obviously we are agreeing to disagree.

By the way, very excited to lose another big underdog moneyline with less than 1 minute left in the game.

I want to bitch a little bit so I'm gonna vent:

---Pitt - Hines Ward going in for TD but fumbles instead. Loser.
---Bears - Play Packers tough all game, Packers late TD, and 2 pt conversion ruins the cover. Loser.
---Ohio State ML - Ohio State winning or tied all game and USC takes lead late and scores to ruin the ML dog. Loser.
---Raiders - Big ML dog winning all game, and lose lead with 25 seconds left. Loser.
---FSU - Winning by 2 scores at one point and eventually lose the lead, and game when FSU WR can't make the catch in the end zone as time expires.

If just 2 or 3 of those things go my way, I am having a killer start to the season right now.~~:<<
