Been on the wrong end of 2 tight games. Pitt's Hines Ward fumble, and the Packer 2 pt conversion. Moving on to tonight:
3* Oakland Raiders +10 -110
1* Oakland Raiders ML +450
Call me crazy but I am one of the few that like what Oakland is doing. You draft a QB like Russell that can chuck it 80 yards and you draft 2 WRs in Heyward Bey and Murphy that can flat out run it down and stretch a defense. You've got your stud playmaker in McFadden (HEALTHY), you've got your serviceable spell back Fargas. You got an emerging TD in Zach Miller. They figured out where to stick Gallery on the line. I think this offense will do better this year.
You lock down Nnamdi who is your shut down corner, you get Seymour (not there yet obviously), etc. But this team has a bit of a plan, and with Russell contuing to get experience at QB, and now having a few weapons and a healthy running back will make him better.
SD has had some off field drama and distractions with the Merriman fiasco. LT is getting older, as well as Chambers and co. They visit a very tough atmosphere in a division game and are laying double digit points. Chargers roll people at home behind that energetic crowd, but not sure if they can go on the road with a MOTIVATED Raiders team with a clean slate in the early season and blow them out.
10 points is a lot in the NFL, especially for a motivated, live home underdog.
